  • Best boots I’ve ever owned for the price.
Size: 9 Color: Dark Olive
Awesome slip on boots for quick on and off. Never cold, never wet and unitary use the word never. Can I say more? Ankle brace and top of boot drawstring La are a snap to adjust with gloves on to adjust to cond. First pair lasted a decade until the inside liners disintegrated from use but the outside shell still keeps my feet warm and dry. I replaced the liner with wool socks and can last all day outdoors on them. Only reason I bought another pair is because we share the boots with my entire family. ... show more

  • Excellent winter snow boots.
Size: 10 Color: Dark Olive
The Kamik greenbay 4 winter snow boots are fantastic! Then drawstring closure at the top keeps snow from getting into the boot. The Velcro strap at the ankle secures the boot nicely so my foot doesn’t slip and allows my foot to slide in and out easily. Most importantly the boots kept my feet warm and dry when sniveling 9” of snow and sledding with my kids. ... show more

  • Great Winter Boots!
Size: 10 Color: Black
These are great winter boots that are made in the US or Canada. Easy to put on your feet and very warm. The soles have excellent traction even on ice.

  • First pair was defective and the actual fit was a little small.
Size: 13 Color: Black
First off, we've bought Kamik boots for our three boys for the past 3-4 years, and we've always been very happy with the value and durability of these boots. Our kids can't seem to wear them out before they outgrow them. All of the boys have always said that the boots keep their feet warm regardless of the temps, even through last winters stretch of -20 for several days. Granted the kids aren't out in those temps for very long, but you don't need to be in those temps fro very long before things start to get cold. This year I found myself needing new boots. So I've been looking for a tall cold weather pull on boot that I could use for snow blowing and just messing around with the kids in the back yard. I had narrowed my choices down to the tall insulated Muk style rubber boots and this snowmobile style Kamik boot (Greenbay 4 Cold Weather Boot). The Kamik is about 40% cheaper than the Muk boot and the reviews very positive. Since I already have some non-insulated mud boots, I didn't see the point in spending more money on the insulated ones, when the Kamik boots should meet my needs. I typically wear a 12.5 in boots and shoes. I ordered a size 13 as I'd rather run a little larger in a winter boot so you can wear thicker socks. The boots arrived in 2 days (prime member) and everything appeared to be in good order until I took a closer look at the left boot. It looks like the machine missed the about a 4" long section when it was sewing the upper nylon portion of the boot to the lower rubber base. There were no needle marks in the rubber at all, it simply got missed. I tried the boots on anyway to make sure the size was right...I'm glad I did. While the size 13 fits, it was a little tight. It wasn't so tight as to cause pain, but I was wearing pretty thin athletic socks. I put a thicker sock on and the boot was very snug, again, not painful, but you don't want a tight boot that impedes circulation during the winter, you want the boots loose enough to allow for good circulation to keep your toes warm. I know that occasionally these boots will loosen up after you wear them a bit, but I just didn't want to risk it. So I contacted Amazon and told them the originals were defective and that I needed a size 14. The replacement boots were here within 2 days (thumbs up on Amazon service...as always). The new boots appear to be made very well, I think the first set was a simple defect, that probably should've been caught before they went out the door, but no real harm done. The new size 14's fit much better. They're a little loose with thinner socks on, but they fit just right with a thicker sock. There's a little bit of slip in the thinner socks, but the adjustable ankle strap helps with that. Again, I'd rather have them fit a little big than be too tight. I've worn the boots out into the cold 5-10 degrees the past couple of mornings, and they're very comfortable and seem to be very warm. I may not need a heavier sock in these boots as long as it doesn't get below -10. The boots are a little on the heavy side, but let's face it, these are a size 14....there wasn't anyway the boots would be lite with that much rubber on the tread. The traction appears to be top notch and the tread is deep. The boot comes up to about mid calf on me. The top of the boot is just under 15" from the ground. The top draw string is nice and helps trap the heat in and keep the cold and snow out. Everything about these boots indicates that it's built well, yes I had a defective first pair, but that happens sometimes. The boots are warm, tall, and the service from Amazon was great. Two sets of boots in 4 days, you can't really beat that. I deducted one star since the first par was defective, but other than that I'm very satisfied. I think buying shoes on line is always going to be a crap shoot as to whether or not the size/fit will be correct. A size 12 in Nike, isn't always a size 12 in Adidas, so why should snow boots be any different. ... show more

  • A package of surprises
Size: 8 Color: Black
I just received these in early January. Before purchasing them, I read a number of reviews concerning these boots. One of the negatives I read numerous times had to do with sizing issues. Many people said it was better to order a half size larger than what I wear. Although leery, I went ahead and followed their advice. Upon preparing to purchase, I discovered that I was buying this from an outside company, a US company which pleased me, but still that meant a longer delivery time. Normally, delivery times don't mean too much to me. I tend to purchase things early, and use the two-day prime delivery option. The whole time we lived in Washington state, Amazon was 97% spot on time with their deliveries. Occasionally weather interfered or something got mixed up. No surprise really. It happens. Last October, we moved to Maine. I love it here! Amazon's deliveries have been about four days out on average, even given choosing prime 2 day shipping. Why is this important? Kamik presented with three to four weeks expected time of delivery. Although unhappy, I really needed a decent pair of boots that fit me. Hard to do with feet as small as mine, a size 7.5 in mens. But the reviews were mostly really good, and living here, I needed something that was both truly waterproof, and provided a tall and secure leg covering. I figured I'd lasted this long, so I could wait it out another month. About a week following my order, the big early Jan. snow hurricane made it's approach. I really was wishing at that time the Kamics would have been here. It would have been the perfect storm to test them in. And what a storm it was. After that, I was wishing I had just payed the extra delivery to get them early. Three days later, the boots arrived! Completely unexpected! I'm really unsure as to how they got here so quickly, but I am really happy they did. Here's a big thumbs up to Kamik! So, initial thoughts. They are a bit too big. However, with a second pair of thick socks, they fit really well. So no real complaint there. I took them out in the snow a few times, no cold or wet feet. The top ties around the top of my calf, and although some people mentioned they dug into the back of their knees, I found no such issue with mine. They are really comfortable and warm. Both very important if you are going to be in them for any length of time. It takes me two hours to shovel my driveway, and I'm not messing around. Shorter with the snowblower, but I use it only in snow deeper than 6 inches. I intend to update this review after I get more use out of them. Temperatures have been in the singles and teens lately. I'd like to test the -40 degree claim, but not at the expense of all those who will receive further hardship due to those temps. Again, a big thanks to Kamik for getting my boots to me so much earlier than expected. That was really cool of all of you. ... show more
