I picked this up because I keep preaching about safety to my son and hope he practices some of it while he's out in the woods in his deer stand. When it arrived I was surprised at how sturdy it was and how much quality there was in the materials. I have priced other harnesses and they ranged from cheap junk to the ridiculously priced and capable of supporting a mid-size SUV if it should even slip and fall from a tree. The price point had me thinking this would fall towards the cheap junk end of the spectrum, but was I ever wrong! The harness is lightweight, but put together like a brick outhouse. It's quite solid and well padded. The nylon seems to be of good quality with no sharp edges. The padding is ample throughout the areas that need it and the buckles seem to be of similar quality. It's not overbuilt adding unnecessary weight, but it definitely does not feel cheaply made. ... show more

    • Great harness, easy to put on and more comfortable than most

This harness is really well made, with great materials, and really nice buckles. When it arrives, it is not just tangled mess of confusing straps like normal, it was actually really easy to pick up and put on. The straps have pads where it matters in case of hey fall, and just for overall comfort. It even has a couple of built-in safety features, like a whistle right in the stern strap, and a spare strap + directions on how to ease blood restriction after a fall. They even include a tree strap, that locks onto the tree and your d-ring Clips on to, in case you are not using a rope with a fall stop. Everything you need is included, and could save your life. Anyone who hunts from Bo stands, or does any kind of tree work more than 10 ft off the ground, should have one of these. This whole set up is great, well-made and well worth it. The suspension release strap, necessary to keep the blood flowing in your legs should you fall and be suspended for any period of time longer than a few minutes comes attached to this harness. My other harness I had to carry that strap as a separate item and and install after a fall. This one comes attached and ready to use which I feel is a big plus for safety and comfort in this harness. It’s comfortable yet unobtrusive. Fits well under my jacket and doesn’t snag or get in the way. I have confidence in this harness. Looks good too. Priced right. The whistle is an added safety device and totally made as part of the chest buckle. Could save a life, you never know. ... show more

Overall I like the fit and it's light and comfortable. My Info: I'm 6' 3" 210 lb. Good: Adjusts well to fit me perfectly The padding is quite nice and it is comfortable. Has a chest harness The SO - SO: the waist strap doesn't have a buckle so it's more work to get this harness on unless you want to open up the straps and readjust every time you put it on. Don't affect the function, but it would be a nice feature. The chest strap clasp is plastic. I'm sure metal would raise the cost a bit would be nice in my opinion. I would prefer wider straps for both strength and comfort. If you're wearing this for hours, it nice. (I really do like the padding) ... show more

This is going to make me feel a whole lot better sitting in my stand! This has very good adjustability, and the padded straps make it very comfortable!! I hope I don't actually have to use it but I think I'll be just fine if I do!! Be safe, get one!

This harness is quiet to move in, comfortable to wear, and seems to be good quality. It is well constructed and very comfortable. The tether is a shock absorbing tether which is awesome for added safety - if you fall, it will slow your fall which is much easier on your body.
