This is a pretty nice comforter for the price. It is a good size, and the shell is a soft cotton polyester blend. It's not very noisy. You can feel the feathers poking in a few places, so it's definitely not top of the line, but suitable for a guest bedroom or child with a nice duvet cover. The box says spot clean only so it's not washable. It comes vacuum packed and didn't have any strong odor but I aired out on the clothesline to fluff it up. Overall very nice. ... show more

I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the bag of this duvet that it had no smell. The cotton shell is bright white and the duvet started to fluff up immediately after shaking it. It is a light weight duvet which is what I wanted but I wish that it had a higher percentage of down, only 15%. Apparently it cannot be washed which is another problem. Most feather duvets can be washed in a wash machine. I always use duvet covers and bed sheets so it will help keep it clean. All in all and considering the current price, it is a nice duvet.     • A "real" quality goose down/feathers comforter with no artificial fill

This beautiful white down comforter is almost twice as heavy compared to other comforters that sell for almost twice the price. It looks great on your bed is just as is. Similar to what you will see in a "boutique" hotel, but if you want to keep it in that pristine white condition you should be getting a Duvet cover to keep it in when you are using it. A duvet is like a giant pillowcase that this comforter will fit. It's easier to clean a duvet than trying to clean a down comforter. They say this comforter is machine washable, but washing a duvet cover is just like washing your sheets. If you buy the right duvet, there are small straps on the edges of the comparator that will keep this down comforter in place inside the duvet so making the bed is not a challenge. In fact, I was watching a YouTuber from Germany and she was saying that in Germany they don't use top sheets. It's common for most people to buy a quality comforter along with a duvet cover and sleep under that. Either way, this has a comfortable weight when you sleep under it, and if you want to store it away, they include a nice-sized drawstring bag you can store it in over the warmer months. ... show more

This thing is almost like sleeping under a cloud! It's not heavy or weighted down, but its super cozy. I was a bit shocked at how quickly it fluffed right up after coming out of the package (it's vacuum packed for shipping). It says to give it 24 hours, but I slept under it the same day I got it.
