The fabric used in this 100% washed cotton California King duvet cover set is 1200 thread count, which translates into very, very soft fabric that is wonderful to sleep under. This duvet cover has eight ties, not the usual four, because it would be nearly impossible to keep a California King duvet in place with four ties, and because the manufacturer of this pretty duvet cover had sense enough to know that. The duvet cover is easy enough to put on and take off with two zipper closures, and it looks great on my bed. It's a pretty shade of blush pink, my favorite shade, and it looks good on my bed. It's hard to find California King duvet covers in any color, and this pretty rose or blush pink is just what I wanted. When I find exactly what I want in a category that's hard to find, period, I feel like I've hit a home run. I love 100% cotton fabric, and the seller is exactly right about this duvet cover getting softer and softer each time it's washed, but there's no danger of it falling apart. Remember those super-soft, much washed sheets your grandmother always kept on her beds? 100% cotton is supposed to feel like that. This is an excellent 100% cotton duvet cover that's a beautiful blush pink, my favorite shade. There are going to be some slight variations in color because of the fabric used, but they won't amount to anything worth worrying about. The cover has two zipper closures, which makes things easy and was a smart thing to include, and it's fairly easy to put this on your duvet. It has eight ties, which is a good thing because a duvet would be swimming in this cover if it only had four. It only makes sense. I love the 100% cotton fabric and the simple style of this duvet cover. I don't know about anyone else, but when I have a duvet cover or bedspread or whatever that has a busy pattern, I feel free to let my clean laundry live on it for days at a time. But, if I have a duvet cover or bedspread or comforter that's a solid color, I won't put any clutter at all on my bed. If it's a solid color, especially a pastel, it looks so clean and neat that I want it to stay that way. And that's where we are now. The bed is completely clear of junk that doesn't belong there. Excellent duvet cover that feels so soft against your skin and is easy to put on and take off your duvet because it has eight ties. The fabric is a beautiful 100% cotton that will only get softer every time you wash it, and I love that about cotton fabric. This fabric is 1200 thread count, which is luxurious and pretty. It's hard to find a nice comforter or duvet cover for a California king size bed, and this is a great choice that won't break the bank. I love the pretty blush pink duvet cover.

The cover I received is a nice chambray gray/yellow color (think slightly muted yellow mustard). I purchased primarily to use the grey side. At the price point it is expected quality, the serging is done rather loosely but all the seam stitching is secure. The zipper is not invisible, but a regular type with double-pull "hidden" by a zipper flap. That's in quotes because the flap on mine, without an ironing post wash, flips upwards. Would have been nice if they'd used a grey or yellow zipper rather than white, to be less noticeable. The fabric seems sturdy and adds a nice amount of weight to my insert as well. When moving the cover around the two zipper pulls jingle quite noisily. I will be tying them together during use to cut down on this. The cover does have 8 sets of ties inside - 1 at each corner and 1 at the center of each side, even on the zipper side. My duvet insert (Dorrin Nessin All Season Feather Down Fiber Comforter Full/Queen Size) omitted a loop on one side so I have one set of ties not in use. For the Queen size, which is square, I could have also rotated the zipper to the side if that had been more convenient/useful. This cover is not a sateen weave so do not expect silky softness from it, but by no means would I call this rough. I have a much older and more expensive twin duvet cover purchased from a common bath store that is of approximately equal coarseness. Highly recommend a wash before use. An invisible zipper in either yellow or grey and with it's smaller pull(s) would have made this a 5-star purchase easily.

I ordered this pink duvet cover set as a matching element to fit the pink bedframe that we have in our spare room. The pros are: The color is great - as pictured, it's a slightly muted pink color. Somehow the color has a vibrant appearance, without looking too pink or cartoony - something about the fabric texture helps break it up. It fits well, washes easily, and is reasonably soft to the touch. The cons are: As duvet covers go, it is fairly thin. I don't know that that's a huge issue, insofar as it's only a cover for a presumably thick duvet - but if you prefer a thicker cover, this may not be the one. The material is also quick to wrinkle - something to be aware of. I think it's overall a good value for dollar item! It's not the most luxurious duvet cover, but it's certainly nice enough - and it's a more cost effective solution than many competitors!

The feel of this bedding is kind of cool to the touch. It makes my bed feel really comfy. I deducted 1 star due to the color being slightly off. It’s kind of an orangey pink as opposed to a rose pink. It’s kind of salmon colored.
