I had been waiting to replace my comforter until I found the one that looked like what I had but also had a fantastic review to trust. I read one of the reviews for this item and figured, "okay, this sounds pretty good, fingers crossed". And yeah, it is THAT good. INITIAL: First thing to note, it comes packaged pretty small (see pic). It's hard to imagine how fat and fluffy this thing becomes but it has a life of it's own! I opened it and double checked for any marks or bugs (I'm paranoid like that); it was clean. As with anything ordered, I put it in the wash and followed the instructions as recommended. I included pictures to show the thickness once it's puffed up. FUNCTION: Since we all live in different climates and have different preferences, it would be difficult to say what works for one person is great for another. I tested this out right after washing it and I felt warm. But isn't that what a blanket is supposed to do? For reference: During the summer, I generally fold my comforters at the foot of the bed and just use a top sheet as a blanket. During the winter, I would be using a top sheet, this blanket, and another blanket if needed. FEELING/AESTHETICS: It's sooo soft that I can't stop willingly swishing my legs around underneath it. My biggest concern was that it would be made of that cheap loud slippery looking materials but it is NOT. I can't stand down comforters with the feathers that seem to take joy in stabbing you or poking out of the material. I will only purchase down alternatives and this one is just so soft and classy looking. I know some are looking to put this into a duvet cover but I wanted it just as it is. I got a king size for a queen bed so I could have more overhang on either side. I also like to turn down the top of the bed with a sheet so this made it long enough to do just that. OVERALL: It's absolutely beautiful, feels sturdy, is beyond soft, and just looks great. This is exactly what I wanted. As it is, and I don't say this often, but if I could give it 6 stars, I would. I've only owned in about 2 weeks now so it's durability after multiple washes remains to be seen. However, if I find that it doesn't last as it should, I will update this review. I am so in love with this duvet insert. It's just AMAZING. It stays the perfect temperature somehow. My 6 yr old son ends up in our bed by the end of the night. Before I got this duvet insert, no matter what we used, someone was freezing, someone was burning up....it was impossible to keep everyone happy at the same time. Now everyone is comfortable. This insert seems to me to be perfect for the Summer, as it's not heavy. I know that it will be perfect for the Winter months, as well, because we keep our home warm and would burn up with anything else. I can't imagine why other duvet inserts don't have the little places to tie the inserts to. How genius! Spectacular! Stupendous! Brilliant! Awesome! Thank You! Finally! What were you supposed to tie the duvet covers to before this, since I will never use any other insert? I've washed this insert twice, and it comes out looking brand new each time. I have this insert in King and Queen, and have never been happier with a bedding purchase. I've used the duvet insert without a cover, in order to achieve the softness in fabric that I can't seem to find with a cover. I have different colors of duvet sets for when I want my room to be all white or when I choose the shades of gray. This is my favorite thing about using duvets. You can easily transform your room colors. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this insert. It came extremely well packaged, not only in the box, but it was vacuum sealed. Love this comforter! It’s a little crinkly and stiff right out of the package. I tried running it through the dryer a couple times to soften it. That helped but didn’t remove the crinkly sound. It’s not too hot and not too cold. I like that it feels like just enough to cover my legs without being over heated. Very happy, 10/10 would recommend ... show more

Absolutely smitten with this quality! Buying a down alternative can be tricky and yet, KAKABELL has created the ideal trifecta of what you want! Trust me on this one, if you want an option that brings the “3 importants” and holds up to daily use.. this is a solid choice. I have this brand in both of my daughters rooms inserted into their duvet covers.. this really delivers for such a reasonable $. Figured it’s time I swapped mine out for the same comfort. Best endorsement I can give you all.. this is my 3rd purchase of the product!! (X2 queen, x1 king.) Trifecta list: • soft breathable exterior that is so smooth against skin if not inside a duvet. Machine washable- •comforter square stitched into pockets that will evenly contain interior fluff throughout the entire length/width of comforter.. (squares are tiny pouf clouds- and where all the “goods” are kept..!!) •all season lets you add weight to this for winter cold.. and summer, it feels light and cool enough all on its own. ITS THE TRIFECTA OF WHAT YOU WANT.. WOW!!! Machine washable- I wash on warm/cold and air dry for a “fresh as new feel!” Pockets allow fill to stay in place after washing (so many others lack this capability.) Corner tabs let you connect to duvet cover and hold in place. *Hack/Trick.. turn duvet inside out. Connect all points of contact in this position- then flip!! Doing so will save you such a headache.. you’re welcome! Best of all.. KAKABELL is quality at a respectable price. Cheaper exist but, I’ve gone that route too.. not near same quality.
