After researching online and reading reviews here, I opted to try this performance engine air filter for my 2016 F150 with the 2.7L EcoBoost engine, and just over 75,000 miles on the engine when I installed this filter. This reportedly enhances horsepower, performance, towing and can help with gas mileage. Who doesn’t want to increase their gas mileage, right? I don’t normally tow anything, but increased abilities are there if needed. This manufacturer boasts about the longevity of these filters, so we shall see. I don’t normally travel through mud or a lot of water or on very dusty roads (which can be a detriment to these or any filter). I plan on normal and average use. Likes: Amazon Prime shipping, returns and refunds. Limited lifetime warranty (this manufacturer has boasted of these filters lasting 1,000,000 miles). These are washable and they sell a kit to clean and reoil them. Up to 5 years or 75,000 miles between required cleaning (I won’t be waiting nearly that long so any updates to this review in the future will not be because I let the thing go dirty for too long). Very reputable company. This filter was a perfect fit and was quite simple to install. So far (about 150 miles into the new filter), I have noticed that my truck seems to accelerate much easier, it breathes easier. Maybe it’s just a placebo effect, but I don’t think so really. I opted to pass an erratically driving motorist and noticed more “umphhh” when accelerating to pass. It’s too early to tell much on the fuel efficiency increase, but I am hopeful. In the box are stickers and a decal that I opted to affix to the air filter cover, and then wrote the date and mileage on it. The decal alerts any shop or oil changing service to not throw your filter away and identifies it as a K&N Reusable filter. I am also saving the environment from added discarded old filters. So far, I have seen a 1-2 MPG increase in fuel efficiency. Dislikes: None so far. Mehs: This engine air filter is expensive at the onset, especially when compared to other engine air filters (that are not performance filters). However, this initial expense should be offset in the long run and should pay for itself by not having to buy replacements every 5-12 thousand miles. 5 stars ... show more

Fit my 2011 F150 with the 5.0L coyote perfectly. I've ran K&N filters in all of my previous and current vehicles. I even use them in my wife's car, our ATV, and our boat. I only buy the best, because I expect the best.

I come from a background of motorcycle road racing, you know, the knee dragging kind, so I'm well acquainted with performance mods. The aftermarket exhaust combined with race fuel and K&N air filter in your race bike then tweaked with an onboard computer and what a difference you get in performance gains without ever cracking the head open on the block. That being said, simply changing, or upgrading the air filter in stock pick up truck didn't leave me with high expectations. However the best thing you can do for a vehicle is improve the air flow in and out. This is exactly what this simple mod did for my truck. Tremendous gain??? No sir but, a noticeable gain, yes sir. My 2015 F-150 5.0 liter already had impressive throttle response, now it's better. Not looking for improved gas mileage, here in Texas our highway speeds are....well, I'm sure we drive faster than your state.....maybe :) But for 50 bucks, WELL worth the upgrade to get the improved performance gain. Now I'm considering an exhaust to go with the new "intake" mod. See you on the road, please remember to save lives including your own and put your phone down while driving. ... show more

This thing does work and super easy install can hear the growl and the turbo go when flooring it. My advice get it if you can’t get the big boy.

Good overall fit . I had a hard time getting the lod to snap closed due to it being alot thicker than the oem filter kinda dissipointed it didn't come with a K and N sticker

Before you spend way more $$ on a complete cold air system, drop one of these in the air box and you too will notice the difference. You can see it, compared to a air-choking paper filter. Faster throttle response and better power when you ask for it. Easiest performance upgrade you can do… Let your engine breathe!!! ... show more
