his K&F Concept kit ended up being more than just a filter purchase for me. Mounted on our Fujifilm X100, it combines a 1/4 Black Diffusion filter, a square metal hood, and a matching lens cap into a package that feels like it was designed by people who actually use these cameras. The Black Diffusion filter does exactly what I was hoping for. It softens highlights, takes some of the harsh digital edge off modern sensors, and gives bright light sources a subtle glow. Skin tones look a little smoother, and images pick up a more cinematic, film-inspired character without looking overly soft or losing important detail. I also really like the included square metal hood. Besides giving the X100 that classic retro appearance, it serves a practical purpose by helping reduce stray light and unwanted flare while maintaining contrast in challenging lighting situations. One feature I wasn't expecting to appreciate as much as I do is the modular design. The adapter allows the use of other standard 49mm filters, so you're not locked into only the included Black Diffusion filter. That adds a lot of flexibility for future shooting styles. Installation was straightforward, and I was pleasantly surprised that I could still use my original Fujifilm lens cap if I wanted to. K&F also includes their own lens cap in the kit, which is a nice touch. For candid photography, street photography, portraits, and low-light shooting, this has become a permanent accessory on our X100. It improves the look of the images while adding lens protection and preserving the camera's iconic styling. K&F Concept absolutely got the assignment right with this one. I love K&F Concept's rendition of the square hood for the X100 series cameras. It is sleek and sexy and very well made. It provides the option of including a filter between the two rings. It comes with a UV filter sandwiched between the front and back plate. The silver brings balance to the silver casing. I don't know yet how it will fare in street photography settings. For portraits I think that it provides an excellent focal point. It comes with a cover that pops right in. I'm sure after years and years of use you will have to McGyver something to keep it on after the felt wears out though, we will see. Currently it just pops on and protects your filter that is between layers. It is easy to put on and take off for those times you feel that you don't need it. It is solid made from aluminum and really protects your lens from damage and over all it just really looks good. ... show more

I can’t actually give a full review of how the lens works and the effect it gives as I ordered the wrong size and it doesn’t fit my camera. I am familiar with lenses and can tell you that MY mistake should not take away from the quality of this lens. It is top quality the glass lens is pristine and the fitting portion is sturdy and not cheap or flimsy at all. I want to say that it arrived quickly and the box it arrived in was sufficient to keep it safe in transit.
