It takes some time to put together, but of the three furniture pieces that we purchased, this one seemed of better quality. Looks very nice. The door has the French hinges. There were no instructions included on how to adjust them, but they were easily found online. Just google it.

This comes flat packed in an enormous and heavy box. It weighs well over 100 pounds iirc so be prepared when it shows up. The pieces are long and you will need a considerable space for construction. Directions were ok, pieces were marked as to what they were which I really appreciate. When I finished, they were slightly off level and nothing I tried made it more level. They look very nice! Lots of storage.

While one of the pieces did arrived damaged, the overall appearance of this unit is good. It was relatively easy to put together (I did it myself). I used it for our homeschool room to store curriculum, math games, etc.

While assembling, placing wood dowels into one of the panels, the engineered wood next to where the pre-drilled hole was, Failed. Additionally, one corner edge of a large panel crumbled while simply handling the panel. Then as I got to the final point of mounting the bottom cabinet doors to the main cabinet, I discovered that the pre-drilled holes for screwing the hinges to the main cabinet were incorrectly drilled at the back side walls. I am confident this was not my error in assembly because they were drilled where the vertical groove for the rear cabinet panel, slid into. Now, I have to try and measure and calculate where to place then, predrill, Accurately, Sixteen Identical holes, and Hope that the doors align, once the hinges are screwed in. Speaking of Screwed, DON'T BUY ANY PRODUCT FROM THIS COMPANY. IN FACT, NEVER BUY ANY FURNITURE PRODUCT THAT YOU HAVE TO ASSEMBLE, ON AMAZON!!!

Update: EVERY SINGLE SHELF started bowing terribly within a week of getting the books on and it looks SO cheap and tacky. So the advertised weight for each shelf is obviously a lie. The bowing has been so bad that, one after another, they're falling right off the little shelf brackets (because they no longer span the entire length of the bookcase). We're having to come up with a plan b to stabilize them moving forward. It's not the end of the world but it's extremely frustrating. I am in LOVE with these gorgeous book cases! We bought our entertainment center from them last year and have loved that too so we decided to get the matching bookcases this year. These aren't as heavy-duty as they look, but they are very high quality for the price point - a lot better quality than the usual piece-together furniture you get from places like Walmart and Amazon. They were super easy to put together - I didn't need help from my husband at all. And they have SO much storage space! They're super deep so I could stack books double-deep if I wanted to. ALL of my puzzles and games collection fit down in the cabinets, with room to spare, and the doors will be easy to baby-proof when my newborn starts crawling. I was also able to fit my entire book collection in the upper shelves, again with room to spare. I initially reached out to the company to ask if they had spare shelves I could purchase for additional storage space. They didn't, but they were quick to respond and super kind and helpful - and I didn't end up needing the extra shelves anyway. They are working great and are the perfect solution I've been looking for! I just wish I had a bigger space so I could get their end tables and mudroom organizer haha.
