Love this! This looks and feels even better than I expected from the listing. The design looks really polished and elevated, and the gold chain gives it a classic, kind of 2000s type of feel. The material definitely doesn’t feel like real leather, but it doesn’t feel bad either. It’s very soft and sturdy, and holds its shape well without any wrinkling, crinkling, or peeling. One of my favorite parts of the bag is the chain. You can adjust it to wear it longer or shorter depending on how you pull it through the rings. It lets you turn the bag from a close/tight shoulder bag to something closer to a tote/crossbody length. The chain is rounded, well-made/secure, and comfortable on the shoulder so long as you don't really weigh the bag down. Not as much slipping off my shoulder as I normally get with chain handles. For the size, the storage is pretty good. The two exterior pockets are perfect for keys, lip products, and other small items you might need to grab quickly. The interior has a zip pocket and an open pouch, which are good to hold items of about the same size/a bit bigger than the outer pockets. You can easily fit a phone into the bag, and even my (large/long!) wallet fits in the bag no problem. Overall, it’s elegant, well made, and a great little shoulder bag for a day out. The quilting adds texture, the chain strap gives it that dressy vibe, and the black color makes it feel timeless in my closet. I like that it can make a simple look; like jeans and a top, feel more “going out” without me changing everything else. What I keep in mind is capacity. I treat it as an essentials bag: my phone, keys, a small wallet, and maybe a lip product. If I try to stuff more than that, I know it’ll start to look bulky or won’t close comfortably. The purse arrived extremely carefully packaged. The quality of the box kind of blew me away. Inside the box, it was in its protective storage bag. All the hardware was protected. The purse is very nice. Well put together, and high quality look and feel. The material is sturdy. It has a nice structured look and feel. The chain moves around through rings on either side of the bag, so you could technically wear it with a long strap, though I personally don’t like it that way. It has two pouches on the outside. They’re not big enough for an iPhone, but you could keep a car key or a couple lipsticks handy there. The inside has a zip pocket and a pouch. This bag by, "JW PEI" is an awesome small-medium size for shoulder bag, looks pretty and it's high quality as expected from this brand. The style with a pocket to side and in front is unique and can be practical for those that have things they want quick access to from their bag. The chain part of bag looks elegant with gold and really love the length of the strap that hits just right. Came very well presented as well inside a white box with brand name, and also came with a lovely dust bag. The quilted effect of bag looks well done and is soft to touch which makes this bag feel nice to hold. This phrase needs a whole moment, it’s quilted and puffy. So cute and a medium size capacity. The material is durable and made of good quality. The black and gold are great contrasting bolts making the details of this purse really pop. Overall a good value.

I love JW PEI bags, and this design is both beautiful and functional. The exterior of the bag is made of quilted "P"leather and though it doesn't feel like leather, it doesn't feel crazy cheap either. The chain strap is adjustable and it can be carried cross body, slung down by the hip or with the strap shortened for carrying in hand by simply pulling the strap through the grommets on either point at the top of the purse. The chain has a thin strip of the vinyl "leather" woven through it. It has two exterior pockets with flaps to close them and a little JW PEI branded toggle mechanism to keep them closed. Inside there is a zippered pocket as well as an open topped pocket on either side of the bag and the interior is open and roomy for such a small bag. The bag itself is open topped and held closed by another one of the JW PEI branded toggles. Unfortunately, see my last photo, my bag has a defect and it drives me crazy. One link on the strap chain is flipped and the vinyl lacing runs through it. It cannot be straightened out so it makes it get hung up on the grommets when I try to adjust the strap length. Rather than a smooth, dramatic, slinking of the chain through the grommet mine gets snagged and I have to fix it manually. This kind of ruins the effect in my opinion. I have two other bags, one COACH and one from another designer, that both adjustable chain straps and I love them. Unfortunately since I have something free from effect to compare this to it makes the flaw in this one all the more noticeable. ... show more
