The quality of this JW Pei bag truly impeccable. The "vegan leather" is incredibly soft and squishy, mimicking the look and feel of real suede. The stitching is flawless, and the lighter-colored faux suede lining is a genius touch. I like the versatility of the design – the sides can be tucked in for a more streamlined silhouette. The size feels a little small to me. I know that they are giving the right size specifications in the descriptions, but it looks slightly bigger than what it is in the pictures. For the price, I do wish it was bigger. The bag arrived well-protected, complete with a dust bag and a sturdy, branded storage box. It's these little details that really elevate the experience. If you're looking for a stylish, sustainable, and high-quality bag that doesn't compromise on aesthetics, then you may want to give this bag a try!

I wasn't sure about this bag, since I normally only buy genuine suede and leather. But then I went and read up about JW Pei, and learned that they are an LA-based company with a sustainable ethic, using recycled materials to create vegan leather products. I also learned that they have a reputation for high quality that justifies their price point. And I gotta say, once I took a look, I LOVED all their modern, sleek designs. So I decided to try out this bag. And I have to say, WOW. I'm so impressed. The quality is impeccable. The stitching is perfect, the material looks and feels like genuine suede and is SO soft and squishy. The bag is lined with a lighter color faux suede, which makes it easy to find things. It's not a dark cavern inside. It's a perfect size bag. I love a good tote, but most tote-style bags are enormous and carry way more than I need. This one is a nice smaller size, but still holds a LOT of stuff. The closure is a magnet, which is so strong the bag closes itself without me having to line the magnets up. The sides of the bag can tuck in or pop out, so on a typical day when I'm not carrying a lot, I can go with a sleeker, smaller look. The logo is metal, very small and subtle, gold, and only on one side. The design is so clean and modern. I just really love it. I also always worry about comfort with shoulder bags that come up too high under the armpits on me. (If you are not a skinny-arm girl, you know what I am talking about.) This one has breathing room under the arm, and the shape is also such that the lowest point of the top line of the bag, which is kind of triangular, sits under my arm with plenty of room to spare. The bag also came well protected and with a dust bag and a brand-name, sturdy storage box. I think I'm in love. Kind of wish I'd gotten the green, since it's almost spring, and I tend to reserve suede and black bags for cooler weather. But I'm gonna carry this one anyway for a while until the really hot weather hits. I just really love it!

It was such a cute bag but definitely fooled me with the sizing. The part that angles upward is the widest part of the bag and that’s what the measurements are for. Definitely can’t fit my 13” laptop without sticking out. Very nice material and cute everyday bag but not a large capacity tote like it’s advertised to be. Had to return it.
