Well, I tried this for my older girl because I know she won't be around much longer. Now I am stuck buying this crazy expensive food for her because she goes on a hunger strike if I don't include it as a topper to her kibble.

My finicky dog loved these meals, however I am giving it 3 stars because it is overpriced in my opinion. I switched her to the refrigerated brand and my local pet store. The price is more reasonable and she likes it just as well.

I recently changed to this food at the recommendation of my vet. This sample pack was the perfect option to determine what flavors would work best going forward. The food is very high quality and easy to serve with the reusable opening on each container. We have a big golden retriever and a small Yorkshire terrier and mix their kibble with canned food to keep them happy. We’ve been feeding them Beneful as their mix in for a long time, yet this new brand showed up on my feed so I thought I’d give it a try. It looks like “people food”, with carrots, beef, peas, & potatoes clearly visible in the mix. It smells good too. The dogs really like it, even the picky Yorkie. Since we don’t use a ton of wet food with each meal, it’s not as big a deal as it would be if we were trying to keep 90 pounds of dog (combined weight) alive on this, but each package in the variety pack will probably only cover 3-4 meals, and at $30 for the pack, it’s pretty pricey. It’s definitely quality dog food, but I don’t see us using this as our primary mix in. I’ll probably buy more as a special treat, but it won’t be our main brand. ... show more

This food made my dogs sick. I was actually dumb enough to try it a second time and yep...they got sick again. And one of my dogs can eat anything...but this. I thought it would be a nice treat and I thought I liked the packaging. As soon as I opened the box a disgusting smell didn’t waff…it smacked me in the face. But I thought maybe that’s what it is supposed to smell like. From now on I will fix my dogs my own batch of “topping”! ... show more

First of all, how am I supposed to know how it tastes? I got these 50% off, bought a pretty good amount and THANK GOD I didn't succumb to the tempation to order such fine quality at discount price. Somehow the word to describe this "gimicky". Think Army "Meal Rations". We've done Farmers Dog (best of them, but messy), Fresh Pet, a local "dog cook", my own crockpot recipe.....so I am committed to spoiling my dog and putting forth effort. You get very little for your money here and my dog just plain ole did like any of the sampler packs and a second chicken pack I was sure he'd like. The only good thing is shelf like. I'm going to use it in my Hurricane kit for evacuations. ... show more
