There was a note on the listing from Amazon that said my recommended size for these shorts was a 3X, so I ordered the 3X. My gosh, 2 people could have fit into these shorts they were so big! 1x fits true to size. Catherine's brand 1X are too big. This fits good. Not too tight or loose. Fabric seems thick (like Catherine's). Should last awhiie.

Just my size brand is usually right on as far as size goes. But these run a little big. Actually a lot big. They are 100% cotton so hopefully they will shrink when I wash and dry them several times. They have handy pockets and a thick waistband so they’re very comfortable. The length is modest, which I like. Good high-quality fabric and well-sewn seems.
