These are my favorite shorts and this is actually the second pair of these I've bought. They are perfect for the Florida heat and lifestyle as they are perfect for swimming. They are a swishy windbreaker material. I don't notice a lot of fade from chlorine, but they will fade in the wash over time. Not by a lot but a bit. My single complaint is that when I bought these last year I went with the 4X, which fit perfectly and looked exactly the way I wanted but when I sat down they were very tight on my stomach (I wear them high waisted). So this year I decided to get a 5X which are also great. They aren't tight in the stomach, or in anyway at all. The size differential between the 4X and 5X is pretty huge. I never felt the need to tie the drawstring in my 4X pair, but I definitely have to tie it on the 5X pair. But that's OK because like I said this is my favorite pair of shorts. The only reason that I needed to replace my last pair was because I ripped the seam on the right side. This is no way a design flaw. It was completely my fault for catching them on the metal plate that latches your door. Once I did it one time it was easy to keep doing it over and over ripping the seam more and more until there was just a huge hole that was impossible to hide. But So if you are plus size be careful of your hips but don't be scared to buy these shorts.

At nearly 300 lbs, it was so nice to find non compression style shorts that fit and fit nicely. There's enough length that I don't get chub rub, but if I want to roll the waist band a little bit too make them shorter for some cute pictures, they are still cute af When I purchased, I didn't know they had a little pocket, so that's a nice bonus! Not cell phone sized, but can keep chapstick or a key safe at the gym.

I’m normally a size 16/18, I bought one pair in a size 1X and another pair in a size 2X. The 1X is too small. The waist on the 2X fits but the material around my thighs is a little tighter than I would’ve liked. The material is like raincoat material. It doesn’t stretch at all so if your thighs are a lot bigger than your waist, you’ll need to go up a couple sizes to get a comfortable fit on the thighs. There are drawstrings so you should be able to tie the waist tighter. The length is a little short on me. I do have a rounder caboose and I’m 5’9 so it could just be short because of my body type. The most annoying part to me is the sound. Because of the material, the sound when I walk is so loud. I wore them to the gym and when I walked on the treadmill, the sound was so embarrassing I went to the locker room and changed into JEANS. They’re fine for a pair of lounging shorts around the house. I definitely will not be wearing them to the gym again. And because the material is not stretchy, I would be concerned about the crotch and rear splitting during squats and whatnot.

These are great shorts. I recently started working out and had nothing to wear so I started my search for “plus size active shorts”. I finally found these and at such a great price! They’re windbreaker material (not plastic like other reviews suggest), which is nice for working out cuz it’s lighter and not so clingy and hot. These are truly made for plus-size women, not just a regular size short with a little extra material. The sizes aren’t just “extended sizes”, they’re actual plus-sizes...I find that a lot of stuff that’s made in “extended sizes” (ex. XXXL) and are based on regular sizes, don’t actually fit me right. I wear anywhere from a 3X to a 4X (depending on the material) so I ordered a 5X since I knew these wouldn’t have any “give” to them. In retrospect, I could’ve gone with a 4X but I didn’t want to take the chance since I’m in between sizes. The waist band does stretch but it was a little big on me; however, they do have a drawstring that I tied, which keeps them from falling off. Plus-size bottoms are always made to come up to the belly button but, if you’re like me and wear your pants slightly above the hips, you’ll want to roll the waistband down one time, which puts them at the perfect spot. They’re also the perfect length. All-in-all, order a size up from your normal pants size and you’ll be happy with the fit. You can’t beat the benefits of these shorts for the price! I will DEF be ordering more!!

I tried rolling the waist band down twice but they still looked silly. Unexpectedly these are a stiff wind-breaker material. Very unflattering in my opinion. The legs were super long and wide and, for me, the butt area was huge. I feel like these were made for someone with a small waist and particularly large butt and hips. Based on other reviews i sized up 2 sizes, and they wound up being HUGE everywhere except for the waist. I was expecting to have to use the draw string.. but nope the waist band fit fine with very little stretch at all even with sizing up.

I loved these shorts. I purchased these for a pool day because I wanted to cover up a bit more. The fabric is great for this type of occasion. They have string on the inside so you can tighten if loose but mine fit perfectly. I purchased the XL in the black and I am 5'4 and 170lbs. If you want to cover your belly button they can do that and still cover the booty but they arent too long, they are just right. These can also be used to run errands, workout, or just want to wear something airy in or out the house.

I was so happy to find these and got them in a size up during postpartum in the summer. They were not tight at all but still the fabric completely sheared along the seam after maybe 4 washes. Would be 5 stars if not for that :/
