This is a decent buy. The checkers themselves are built to last. The durability of the mat is a little questionable…..I will update later. It appears that it should hold up for awhile, but we camp a lot and the mat feels like it might not hold up for a long period. But overall I would say it is a good buy.

I took this with us to a festival and this went over so well. You do need a flat surface to play. The mat is plastic, which makes it easy to clean and brush dirt off of, but it means the plastic checker pieces do slide. Flat surface is best. I will be taking this to every picnic and party we attend from now on. It's eye catching. It's light-weight. It's compact and easy to repack. Very enjoyable (and not just because I am the checkers champion of the weekend! But, I'm sure that makes me a little biased).

This is a great set to throw in the back of the car to keep kids entertained at a picnic or other backyard events. Each playing piece is made out of that kids toy outdoor plastic (think playschool house or red/yellow/blue car) so it's relatively lightweight and durable. The mat is somewhat flimsy but good enough as a temporary fixture (you'll want weights or stakes to keep it from moving).

The checker pieces are good quality, durable plastic. I think this could be a lot of fun with the grand nieces and nephews, but the fabric board is sort of hard and doesnt lie flat. Plus, it's not comfortable to play on or around. I think a softer fabric would work much better. So, a 3-Star rating for the quality checker pieces, with the loss of 2-Stars for the dysfunctional fabric board.

I really like these jumbo checkers game. It comes with a large 60x60 inch machine washable game mat, 12 (6.5in) red checkers, 12 (6.5in) black checkers, and large storage bag to keep everything organized and easy to travel with. We used it inside on rainy days and outside for fun in the sun. We absolutely loved playing this game and I recommend this game for everyone!

We had a family picnic and brought this to the park. It was a big hit. The set has one large plastic mat and 24 jumbo plastic checker pieces. This set was lots of fun, just like the original checkers, minus the size. The pieces are plastic, but with care, they can last a while. The pieces are a fun size and are lightweight and easy to maneuver around on the Matt. I recommend it great, quality durable, and tons of fun.
