Anyone can assemble this balance bike! Wa hoo (that Was my biggest worry) —but we had the bike assembled and moving all within 30 min! The Instructions were so easy to follow, they provided all of the necessary tools and had a cute little sticker book that came with it. The bike is a true baby blue color, the rubber hand grips are solid and there are safety lights and a bike bell that also come with the bike! We have had the bike for 2 weeks now; still works great! It is light weight but still sturdy! Our child literally had their balance after 5 min—amazing! We purchased a “croco” bike for another child, and have had unfortunately many problems with it, and had to send it back! So, with that said, I think this balance bike is by far the best bang for your buck! ... show more

If you're thinking about getting your kid a balance bike - do it! We were astounded at the speed of progress compared to training wheels. This particular example is a good value, but keep the price in mind. Assembly is super easy for anyone who has worked on bikes, but may not be if you have zero mechanical skill. Just find a friend who likes biking and they will probably have it properly assembled in 5-10 minutes. The brake did need multiple adjustments and will require drawing on memories from the 1980's or earlier, because that's when this style was last popular, but it is functional for the bike's purpose. ... show more

My 7 year old (around 48 inches tall) didn’t like riding a bike with training wheels but really enjoys the balance bike. She got the hang of it very quickly and can now balance and glide. I’m so glad there’s an affordable balance bike option for older kiddos. My only negative comment is they need to improve the break - it doesn’t really work well. I didn’t deduct any stars because it didn’t take away from learning to balance on two wheels. ... show more

    • So So Quality-pick something else
This bike is very cute. It was easy to assemble. It is lightweight. My daughter loves it. Those are the only pros. QUALITY is lacking. Once assembled we immediately noticed that the bearings in the front of the bike where the handle bars turn the wheel and which came pre-assembled are rubbing and grinding so badly there is metal dust coming out of the joint. Also, the brakes were so poorly pre-assembled that they were hitting the spokes, not the tire rim. My husband fixed this but then the part attaching the brake lever on the handlebars is plastic and has already cracked completely and was also pre-assembled. So the hand brakes just free float on the handlebar and are useless. We've had the bike for 6 days only. We took the brakes off completely because they are useless. Of course we could have returned it when we heard the joint grinding but who is going to rip it from their 5 year olds hands, disassemble it and ship it back?? Not me. It will last as long as it lasts and we will never purchase this brand again. Another thing, my daughter says the seat hurts her butt everytime she rides it, and the seat is pretty narrow. ... show more

    • Love this larger size adjustable balance bike for my special needs son.
I love this bike. My son is a huge 3 year old with a disability. Most balance bikes are too small for him but he refuses to ride anything else. I found this one online which is the perfect height and adjusts bigger. It was easy to assemble and came with a very nice pop-out card encouraging kids to get out and ride but to ride responsibly. I feel like the material of the bike is very heavy duty and well-made. I am overall very impressed with this bike. It came with a little bell which was a surprise to me but my son loves.     • Kids won’t ride a two wheeler? This is a game changer
If you are frustrated with trying to teach your kid to ride a two wheeler because the progress is going too slowly - INVEST IN THIS! We had been trying to get my kids to ride a two wheeler since they were 3, and it was too intimidating for them, particularly the balance/fear of falling. This balance bike helped my 6YO and my 5YO both learn to ride a two wheeler within about 1 hour. The key is to get them comfortable cruising around on this thing - which happens very quickly because they aren’t scared of falling because they can just put their feet down. Then, riding a pedal bike is no problem because they know how to balance it. Both of them were able to ride the pedal bike within minutes the next time they tried it. We then used a smaller version and my 3YO was able to pick it up and could ride a two-wheeler within minutes once the balancing part was solved for on the balance bike. This is literally less than 1/2 the price of the Stryder brand and works great. ... show more
