There are a lot of parts for a 3yr old. The first day I believe the vice/pliers were first to break. Son loves the set but I say its more of a 5yr old’s toy. Then again, it all depends on your child’s destructive habits.

We bought this for the drill, the rest of the tools were a bonus. This kit comes with everything your little builder could want and then some. The drill has held up nicely to both my toddlers over the past month and my oldest can switch the saw and drill pieces out. The cons- two pliers broke as soon as they were opened, and my husband opened them so they were opened gently. By a week later the other pliers in the bag suffered the same fate. They broke at the “screw” piece and left a piece small enough to swallow/ choke on. We ended up taking the tools with those pieces away. My two year old loves it though, he mainly uses the backpack for his blanket and other toys to carry around. but occasionally will hammer my wall with the hammer. But it is a good gift for a 3 or under kiddo, any older they might break the tools too easy. Overall like it :)
