My daughter used her birthday money to get these kites. The price is good and the quality is sturdy enough for a new kite-flyer. Would be a great gift for someone looking to give flying a chance.

I bought these with the intention that my daughters would use them at the Cherry Blossom Kite Festival in DC 3/26/22. I was so proud that I planed ahead so that my daughters wouldn't have to use the cheap plastic kites. Well guess what all the kids with cheap plastic kites were flying happy. both of these kites would go up in the wind and spin erratically eventually crashing to the ground. I gave it good effort trying myself and taking apart and reassembling but with the same result the kites would not stay up in the air. there was great wind and many other kites in the air, however these did not fly. Very disappointed I didn't just buy them $3 kites like many others having a great time, while my kids were sad. In one of the ground crashing's the kite tore and the sewed in arm on onside fell out.

Bought these on a whim for a beach trip. They went together super quick, flew like a dream and are gorgeous in flight with the sun behind them! Once the kids got tired of handling them we tied them off to our beach tent and they flew steady side by side for hours. All other beach goers were just as impressed as we were and our kites made it easy for our friends to find our beach spot as they rolled up to the beach to meet us.

After it's maiden flight, one of the structure rods punctured a hole in the fabric of holder. so pole slipped through & it couldn't be flown again. I did get my money back. Thus I gave it a 3.

I bought 4 kites for our beach vacation one was a dragon fly with only a center tail and we got it to fly but you had to keep running with it to keep it up. These we only had to run a short distance and they took off. We let the lines out and they just kept going up and up. One of my reels was 500 ft and we used every bit of it. They were way above the condos we were staying in. Once they took off you really didn't have to do much work. They were made to fly!

This product is easy to put together, but simply does not work well even within a pretty blustery day. I will try again at some point and to be most spare provide a better review if the performance improves under other conditions.
