I got these to put behind my headboard, as my window is off-center on that wall, and I wanted a symmetric look. I put these long, wider panels in the middle, which did a nice job of spanning the width of my headboard. My ceilings aren't tall enough to use the full length of these curtains, but my downstairs walls could accomodate them if I ever decide to use them there. Regardless, the extra length is pooled on the floor behind the bed and isn't noticeable. The curtains are a grayish white, as described. They are not stark white. They have a decent weight to them. One feature I really like is that you can put the rod thorugh the whole sleeve at the top or use the loops on the back for a more pleated look, which is what I did. They do a decent job of blocking out the light. However, when it's daylight in my room, you can really tell where the window is behind the curtains. It would be nice if they were complete black-out, but these are sufficient and my room is usually viewed in the evening anyway, so no big deal. ... show more

These look fantastic in our spare bedroom which has a large window wall, and their insulation makes it much warmer in there when the curtains are drawn. They are excellent at blocking out the light—it goes pitch black in there once they are drawn. They seem well enough constructed, and they do have a little weight to them. I did need to iron them on a low setting in order to remove the creases and wrinkles, but otherwise they look great. ... show more

I have a number of examples of Blackout curtains. I use them in bedrooms and a family room for light control during sleeping and watching TV. Sizing is always an issue. Be sure to measure curtain rod to floor for the best estimate of what you should purchase, but be aware, most of these types of curtains tend to be of the 84” variety. I was excited to get a longer version, which was all that was available via Vine at the time. I like the tab version of the Joydeco Blackout Curtains. The tabs, as pictured, are hidden and allow easy movement across a narrow curtain rod. That same tab makes installing them on a rod pretty easy, even with other curtains already on the same rod. I was impressed with the blackout effect, as this seems more of a one-piece thick fabric without the typical backing that can accompany these types of curtains. Total blackout. They are also longer than my window space, with a good 8 inches draped on the floor. (See the comparison with an 84” version on the same rod in the pictures). It looks messy but I like the fact that there is no space at all for light to come in or under when they are closed. If I had to do it again, which I might, I would get the 96” inch version for my own windows. Great fabric, excellent blackout, and easy to move make these a value if you can find a suitable color and length. ... show more

It won't be disappointed with these curtains! They are true to size and are very thick. The quality is great! They drape down nice and heavy indefinitely will black out the room. Very thick heavy fabric that looks very nice. Haven't noticed any wrinkles on them at all and they don't show dust either. Easy too put on the roads as well.
