Many curtain manufacturers claim to be total blackout, but these truly are, as you can see in the photo. These curtains also have a thick textured backing baked on, so they keep the light and heat out in the summer, and the heat in during the winter. They also have a beautiful muted gray color in the fabric that adds a rich feeling to them. The back tabs let them cover 100% of incoming window light, plus their medium weight allows them to hang beautifully with zero crinkling. You'll need to iron the wrinkles out on arrival but that's it. They wipe off easily, and are easy to wash and dry on air only, then simply rehang. I'd definitely buy these again, and would rate them a 10 of 10. ... show more

I was skeptic at first before buying but I am glad I purchased them. This picture was taken at noon with sun blazing bright & hot at 103⁰ outside. The inside of my home is dim and finally cool, which was not the case before these beautiful blackout curtains. You won't be disappointed. They have a nice weight to them and I purchased the linen option and its true to color. The only con would be the wrinkles are not as easy to come out. Hopefully after a while the wrinkles will come out. ... show more

These curtains are well-constructed, drape nicely, are substantial but not especially heavy, and (as hoped) they do a good job of blocking heat and an even better job of blocking sun in my west-facing windows. The very first night after I hung them in my bedroom, I realized I slept more deeply than I had in ages. I live near a busy neighborhood main street with both street lights and evening foot/car traffic, and these do a great job of both blocking light and dampening noise. The only caveat I have is on the tiny pinholes that others have mentioned. Mine arrived with a couple of them and a month later, they have 6-8 total. I don't know if this is a materials/durability issue or something I'm doing (on occasion I'll open windows for fresh air - maybe bugs have gnawed on them?), but it seems other reviews note this issue too. I can live with the pinholes but they might bother others. EDIT: I’ve had these for a couple of months (a sweltering summer 2024) and there are now a couple dozen+ holes across both panels. My theory is that the lining is being affected by solar heat and not any other abrasions. Still get the job done. ... show more

I’ve been waiting on getting some expensive drapes installed while the fabric is on back order so I got these as a temporary solution and now I’m tempted to cancel my expensive drapery order. These work great for my need. They look nice with the faux-linen texture but are heavy duty and certainly block out light as one would expect of blackout curtains. For installation, I put these on a tension rod that could be used for shower curtain but works perfectly for my needs. There’s no “install” per se as you just slide the bar through the loop at the top of the curtain. Easy peasy. The only drawback I could find is that the backing material is a bit stiff so the drapery doesn’t hang gracefully and doesn’t look great when you tie it back (curtain ties are not included). With some tweaking, I could probably make it look a little better, but it’s fine for my needs. ... show more

I was surprised and pleased at these curtains. The natural linen color is a perfect neutral. The backing is thick and provides a good blackout. I like that there were two options for hanging. The wrinkles from shipping were gone in a day. The price is great and the quality great.
