I bought this to help remind me to hydrate regularly. Twist the cap when finished and it clicks up to three times to track each full bottle you drink. It holds 32 oz. Three of these a day and I will be doing well. One thing I noticed is that it makes a funny noise when I drink through the spout. I also found it easier to just unscrew the cap and drink directly from the bottle. It also does not stand well in place in my vehicle cup holder due to its height. I was trying to decide between getting this water bottle and the more expensive Hydrate Spark water bottle. In these economic times, I couldn't reasonably justify spending that amount of money on a Hydrate Spark water bottle so I was tirelessly searching for a water bottle that was less expensive, but could assist me tracking water intake. Out of all the water bottles, this one stood out to me because it allowed the individual the power to track their water intake, but also allowed for a person to keep track of how much water they were drinking instead of having to calculate it solely on their own. The design of this water bottle is nice, smooth, and can hold a very decent size of water! I am very pleased with this water bottle and noticed significant increase of water intake since I've been using it. Best health investment I've ever made for such a reasonable price. Seriously, a meal at a restaurant for one cost more than this water bottle--which makes this investment 100% worth every penny. Trust me, YOU NEED THIS WATER BOTTLE! Invest in yourself, invest in your health, and invest in your future!     • Love the bottle but Hate the missing cap.

Something about this bottle is great. It’s large enough to hold enough water but not so large that the water gets warm before you have a chance to drink it. Also not so large that it’s heavy or cumbersome. Problem: The cap Is too easy to lose or misplace. There needs to be 1) ability to purchase extra caps or 2) a hole in the cap so folks can attach cap to bottle with a chain or string. The bottle can be used without the cap if you’re stationary but even then it’s too easy to tip over and I have spilled water so many times it’s making me nuts. I even purchased a second bottle and that cap flew away, lost as well. Could be me but I’ve seen other reviewer’s complaining of the same thing. The bottle is lovely but there should be someway to attach the cap OR sell caps individually. Otherwise, the whole purpose of the bottle flies out the window along with the cap. I still recommend this bottle, for some reason it’s one of the most comfortable water bottles I have found. BUT beware of this flaw. You WILL use this bottle in temporary settings, outdoors, at a picnic, moving around in general. If you were going to be stationary, you could use a lovely glass pitcher and a crystal goblet. The whole purpose of this is easy grab and go BUT used on the go, even inside your home, the unattached cap WILL get lost. I like to keep this on my nightstand or desk but the missing cap won’t let me. The first few times I accidentally bumped it, spilling water on papers, books and/or my phone charging I thought “ugh! you must be more careful!”. But it happens so often I finally accepted that without a cap, this bottle is no better than a glass of water. Maybe worse because it’s lightweight and not weighted. That makes it great and comfortable for portability but ONLY if you have a cap. *If I find a way to purchase replacement caps, I will update my review ... show more

    • Counting function works perfectly but straw whistles when you drink

The counting mechanism is sturdy and works perfectly for what I need, and the bottle itself is a thick plastic that feels like a textured Camelbak. The strap and the design for the flip up mouthpiece work just fine. I want to give this product 5 stars, but it produces a piercing whistling sound every time I take a long hard sip. I've checked to see if this is a case of the straw being disconnected or too tightly connected and it's neither. I've noticed that this doesn't happen if the lid is almost unscrewed all the way or if you partially block the water flow with your tongue as you drink or only drink very slowly, but neither are very practical solutions for me. I'll keep using the bottle, even if it means alerting everyone in a fifteen foot radius that I'm drinking water. ... show more

I absolutely LOVE this water bottle (if you couldn't tell). This is actually my third one of these Joseph Joseph Dot Hydration-Tracking Water Bottles. I love that the lids come in different colors, which is just fun. I also love that I can keep track of the amount of water I drink by simply twisting the top. You can twist it four times for the maximum amount of dots (4) and then it starts over again. This water bottle holds roughly 20 ounces of water, which means if you drink through the 4 clicks/dots you've drunk 80oz of water which is great! This water bottle is excellent quality, in all of the three bottles I've owned none of them have broke and I use one every day and have for the last 8-10 years. This product is dishwasher safe. I was all of mine in the dishwasher, no problem. I also like that the top isn't attached to the bottle when drinking, you twist it off. It makes for easier cleaning/washing. All-in-all, I am a big fan of the Joseph Joseph Dot Hydration-Tracking Water Bottle. It does its job and is of excellent quality. I will definitely be buying more in the future; worth the price tag. ... show more

I dropped this off my kitchen counter and it didn't crack at all; it works as long as you use it well. It never leaks (I've had it for 2+ weeks). I nearly lost it at a pizza parlor, but I was able to find it. For anyone who is wondering how to use it, you just twist it left when you refill it.
