Fun but i need practice

This is a fine kit. I can't say it stands out as better than other similar products, so i did not rate it above average, but it works for my intentions. I've wanted to try out this form of painting myself, and also evaluate if these kits might make a good gift for creative types. Some pros and cons, as you may expect for this price. *Pros: Everything you need is included, even screws and mounts to hang it, an easel, etc. Very compact and light when packaged up for shipping/storing until gifting, etc. Canvas is marked pretty well (some areas very small, but things have clear lines and numbers) They created a cheery-looking, lively, realistic composition with just a limited number of paints and supplies (beginners not overwhelmed with too many pieces or too many colors) Brushes included seemed decent quality Useful hints included, clear instructions for helping you be successful at this type of art *Cons: You MAY want an even smaller brush than the ones in this 3-pc brush set for some of the tiny stars and areas of the Eiffel Tower set My set was labeled as 20x30 INCHES, which would be amazing, but was, of course, not true (listing pics that show it near headphones, or hanging behind a couch are NOT the correct scale), it's smaller than a piece of printer paper, in actuality The easel is indeed pointed into the back of the canvas, as other reviewers have showed Not sure why you would want to leave the paints open, as the instructions state For older people/bad eyes, including a large poster that unfolds that shows the markings/numbers BIGGER might be helpful to cross-reference with the small canvas

I got this on sale for like $5 and at that price it is AMAZING. The brushes are functional, the paints weren't dried out. The easel is just fine for a newbie. I will say that this is my first time doing one of these. This is probably not a "beginner" item. Some of the numbered spaces are small enough that the number barely fits in there. Being in my forties, I needed a bright lamp and sometimes reading glasses for some of the tiniest little spots. I've only been working on it a little bit but I am super enjoying the process.
