I'm generally a Size 10.5. AZ suggested a 10.0, which were way small. I immediately returned them for Size 11.0. Perfect fit! I am a 70 year old walker, about 4 miles a day, 4 days a week and I'm also a geriatric gym rat. I selected these shoes for appearance, durability, traction soles and being waterproof/water-resistant. On test walk, no socks, they felt great. On 2nd test walk with basic athletic crew socks felt even better. Uppers and toe box have already begun molding to my feet. I anticipate getting a second pair, same shoe, different color: one for walking, rough terrain hiking and use during rain, and 2d pair for gym and inside my house only. I believe it would be tough to get soles free of mud and grunge. That will be outside pair. New pair will be inside only. Great shoes, structurally and appearance-wise. Just consider going up a size. I think this is a pretty stable show for the price charged. I purchased for beach combing and yard work, like a lightweight work boot. So far so good. I hate to say it but the reason for the 4, they smell. Like rubber/plastic but they will air out.

They are ok… too bad there are no half size shoes. They kind of serve my purpose as a court shoe for officiating but the fit requires an extra pair of sox. I do question how durable they will be holding up to running and turns on the court. Material seems cheap.

Ordered the first pair (size 11) and they were to small. They do not have 1/2 sizes or wide. Returned them and got a size 12. Found out it was not the size that made them so uncomfortable. It was the design itself. If you have no known foot issues then you can stand on a hard flat surface with no issues. I took other reviewers advice and ordered foam inserts as well. The insert itself is not just rock hard, It has little diamond patterns in it. So it is not a hard flat surface. It is like you are standing on little pieces of gravel. You feel each and every diamond. The foam did not help. The new insert are for a mans shoe from size 7 through 12. You cut to fit unless you have a size 12 then no cutting is needed. Not true for this shoe as the shape is not normal. You still have to trim it since it is so narrow and all kinds of protrusions digging into your foot. Lets kill the "BREAK IN" myth right now. Shoes should be comfortable the moment you first put them on. If they are not then they are the wrong size or a poor design. It is hard to tell with these since the sizes are so limited. Until you try to tie them. They do not come with a real lace. They come with a cheap nylon cord. This cord coils up on itself so it is a real chore to tie them. The shoe should conform to your foot. Not the case with these as your foot must conform to the hard plastic shape of this shoe, That is how blisters are formed. Your skin/foot is not strong enough to push the obstructions out of the way so it is your foot that breaks-in! They are heavy which I like, I am so tired of this soft/slip on/mesh crap that they are trying to peddle. The color/pattern is nice. The problem is that is the only 2 good things to say about it. Bottom line is the 12's are going back too. They are way to uncomfortable to keep. I was just looking for an "INEXPENSIVE" work shoe. These are NOT inexpensive, They are cheap!!! It is better to get a brand name where the style is a couple years old for the saame price. If you are just looking for a work shoe or around the house, At least then they will fit like a glove right out of the box. ... show more
