As a mom of three, including a newborn, I’m always looking for practical, travel-friendly products, especially strollers. I’ve traveled extensively with my two older kids (12 and 6) to Europe and have used several strollers in the past, including the Babyzen YoYo2 and Gb Pockit. When I came across the Joolz Aer2, I was curious about its unique features, especially the near-180 degree newborn recline that is perfect for naps on the go for kids of any age - something my other travel strollers didn’t offer. Given that the international version of the Aer2 had been released earlier this year with this feature, I was unsure if the U.S. version would have the same. Many competitors’ strollers, like the Bugaboo Butterfly 2, only offer a 147-degree recline in the U.S. version due to the unique regulations in the US, which is rather disappointing. However, I took a chance on the Aer2 and was thrilled to find that the U.S. version does, indeed, feature the flat recline I was hoping for! Key Benefits: 1. Flat Recline – A game-changer for travel with a child. Unlike other travel strollers, this one allows for a near-180 degree recline, ensuring my child can sleep comfortably while we're on the move. 2. Compact and Lightweight – While slightly heavier than the Babyzen YoYo2, the Aer2’s weight is still lower than many other travel strollers, and its foldable dimensions will be great for international travel and allow for bringing it inside the airplane. As someone who often carries the stroller on my back, the size and weight are extremely important. Being able to bring the stroller inside the airplane is just as important as we have had strollers' wheels damaged when gate checking. 3. Easy to Maneuver – While I haven’t taken it on a full international trip yet, the wheels are smooth, and I can already tell it will perform just as well as the YoYo2 in terms of maneuverability - even with an older child. 4. Fast Delivery – I ordered the stroller on August 24, with an expected delivery between September 2-4. It arrived on August 29, ahead of schedule, which was a pleasant surprise! Overall, I’m incredibly happy with this purchase. I’m excited to take it on our upcoming travels. TLDR: Pros: 1. Near-180 degree flat recline - perfect for child naps 2. I absolutely LOVE this stroller. It is the perfect size and collapses super small. For context, when folded it fits between my infant car seat and the passenger seat in front of it. It’s held up nicely for the past 10 months. I love the forest green color we got too! The basket is smaller but I feel like that’s to be expected with it being a travel stroller. I’ve never had any issues trying to fit things in there. I also love the no rethread harness so I am easily able to switch between my toddler and infant when out and about. There was a bit of a learning curve for me on how to adjust the straps but now that I know how it’s fairly easy. One of the biggest selling features was the newborn ready recline. We used it almost daily and it was super nice. I like that the sunshade extends and that the stroller is lightweight too. I am able to open and close it with one hand while holding my infant in the other. I am SO happy I purchased this and can’t imagine my life without it. I’ve honestly thought about buying a second one and having two singles for my 2 kids LOL. My only gripe is there isn’t a cup holder (you can purchase a universal one though) and it only has 3 seating positions - lay flat, completely upright and an in between. I don’t think the positions bother me as much as how you change the position. It’s all done via a zipper and a little clasp thing. It can be difficult to mess with when a child is in the seat but it’s not a deal breaker to me. We mostly keep it in the fully upright position and don’t have any issues.

I did lots of research for a compact travel stroller to have in addition to our Bugaboo. This one is great, I love how lightweight it is, how easily it folds and it's very sturdy for being a travel stroller. My daughter loves being in and we can easily move her around. I do love that it goes flat, but with that recline there comes the sacrifice as it's more difficult to push it around when the stroller is in a recline. In addition, I do wish there were a few more recline modes instead of just being one. But overall for a travel stroller it hits the boxes and I would definitely recommend it.

Amazing. Best travel stroller out there and totally worth the cost. We use it as our main stroller and it fits perfectly in the trunk - with tons of extra room. I wish I bought it straight from the get go instead of wasting money on other strollers. It's lightweight, compact, and built with quality. Seems very comfortable as well. Folds perfectly and looks great. The steering is also very smooth and easy. We've used it on grass, gravel, concrete, indoors. It is a tad bumpy on gravel/grass but not bad

It was a great sroller until it wasn't. Bought this stoller November 2025 and I use it no more the 3 times a month and two months ago (may 2026) it get stuck when I try to open it, I have to maneuver the stroller for it to open, which the wholepoint of the stoller is their single hand opening. I contact their customer service (which hasnt been great) and they told me they will sent me a new chasis and to send the old one back, but that was more than a week ago and I haven't received the new chasis. For the price I would expect better quality and better customer service experience.

Overall, an outstanding, high-quality travel stroller. The one-handed, single-click fold is effortless, and it fits easily into airplane overhead luggage bins, making air travel a breeze. My only minor critiques are that the under-seat basket is on the smaller side for full-sized diaper bags, and a telescoping handle would be great for taller parents. That said, the flaws are very minor compared to how smooth and convenient it makes travel.

We brought it on 2 flights already and it was seamless, it reclines all the way back and the umbrella part has an extension that goes down very far for sun protection or going to sleep in the stroller.

After comparing several travel strollers — including the Bugaboo Butterfly and UPPAbaby Minu — we landed on the Joolz Aer2 for its lightweight build, one-hand fold, and one-handed full-flat recline. All features that matter when you're navigating an airport with a toddler. Fair warning: it runs slightly wider than a standard carry-on, but we were still able to bring it onboard without issue. Our toddler had no complaints and was even able to nap in it while we were out and about — so the recline lives up to the promise. Build quality feels solid and it does what it promises. If you're in the market for a true travel stroller and have done your homework, this one delivers.
