I am a 43 year old father of three boys 10 and under. I enjoy an undefeated table tennis record with the boys and this table will enable me to continue my dominance for at least another half decade. Positives: Amazon delivery was flawless. A three hour delivery window is impressive and the delivery guys were great. 20 minute set up with only one tool (socket wrench). My oldest son actually did most of the work because he lost the last table tennis game we played. Super firm and flat surface. Very easy to adjust for level. Net clips in and is tight. 20 seconds to remove or install. Very easy to pepper my 5 year old with my wicked backhand. Blue color is majestic Paint and finish are flawless. Children's tears easily wipe clean. Packaging was strong Two men easily carried the table up a flight of stairs. Neutral The two sides of the table don't actually connect. When you fold it up (which I have not done yet) you will be moving two independent halves. Not a problem I think, but worth mentioning. Negative The net came with a small tear in it. JOOLA, if you read this please send me another one. I swear the tear is not from my aforementioned wicked backhand (yet). I purchase the 18mm Touring instead of the 15mm, paid $492 out the door. The assembly was easy and frame seems sturdy, but the set I got from Amazon almost feels like a refurbished set instead of new. The table underneath had scratches. I guess it does not matter because no one looks under the table, but not something you expect from a brand new product. More strangely, the black band piece that wraps around the entire table sides does not completely cover the particle board that makes up the table at one spot, it's as if the cut the strip too short during manufacturing. I recall reading this in another review prior to my purchase Under normal circumstances I would have returned this to the store, but given how heavy and how much effort it was to get this table down to my basement it would just be too much hassle. Overall, I am very disappointed with the quality and purchase experience from Amazon. It may be a good value for the 15mm version at 299, but if you are going the pay 500, I would stay away from the 18mm table, just not worth the money. If it was not for the weight and effort, I would have definitely returned this set. I feel taken advantage of by Amazon. ... show more

I would give 4.5 stars actually. Packaging was good (plenty of buffer material to protect the table edges) and table arrived without damage. Assembly is easy - you only need to attach the castors/T-brackets - everything else (apart from net) is pre-assembled. 2 separate halves actually make for easier storage. Surface seems good, and has a quality finish, plays well, net is good. I'm knocking a star (1/2 star off) as I feel the castors on one side of the table seem not welded at an exact 90% angle - either that or the attachment system means the angle is not guaranteed to be straight - and because of that I had to put some cardboard underneath the wheels of one half to get the level of the table to be flat (see photo) - there didn't appear to be a way to adjust the height of the wheels.. ... show more

What a great table, I am so happy we paid a little more for a nicer table. After I purchased this table and was waiting for it to arrive I started seeing ping pong tables everywhere and started 2nd guessing my decision to buy a nicer one. My friend bought one from Sams for under $200 and it seemed nice enough. We played on theirs several times before ours arrived. Ours showed up packaged unbelievably well and boy was it heavy. We finally got it up the stairs and that was the only hard part about getting it put up. It was literally 8 bolts and less than 10 minutes. It is so nice and plays so much better than the cheaper thin table. Theirs already seems to being bowing in the middle and their net is terrible. Totally happy with our purchase and it will see tons of play for years to come! ... show more

In a house with five players and daily use, I needed more than a sporting goods store table. I chose the 2500 primarily based on reviews here and elsewhere and my past experience with Joola tables. Very pleased with the table, especially the solid build quality, excellent playability and first class materials. Took longer to unbox it than it did to assemble. Very heavy! But once assembled, easy to move. Zero defects in quality and materials. I got kids lined up around the block wanting playing time on the best table in the neighborhood. I purchased this table 6 months ago and have been pleased with the durability, quality construction, and design. I was drawn to this table after researching other tables without the strong leg and cross table supports. Having three children, I wanted a table that would not warp when they inevitably climb on top. The playing surface is professional and the board is thick and sturdy. The table assembles incredibly easy, and taking the table down to move is simple. The corners are covered with plastic to prevent sharp corners causing injuries. The net is solid and stays tight. I do wish the two halves of the table could latch together for game play, and it would be helpful if there was an attached ball holder than many tables have.
