I've been playing for about 8 months now. I started with a cheap paddle that came in a set and could tell right away it was not very good because it was so slick and did not produce any spin. I bought an intermediate paddle that had the carbon fiber and was much better. I used it for abouts 6 months and I was improving to the point I thought I should try a better paddle. I bought this one after much research and I could tell right away it was much better at both control and power. I’m a fairly advanced player. I used the first generation Hyperion paddle for a couple years until the inside broke. Maybe it was too much celebratory paddle tapping. I liked that one so well that I bought this Hyperion C2. It should be a bit better right? The handle comes covered in protective plastic since it is new. I left that on so I could try out the paddle to decide if I wanted to keep it. Halfway through the first game, I took the plastic off.
