Both of my kids loved playing with this in the sand. It’s very sturdy and easy to use. The only con is not being able to control the scoop but they just did it manually and seemed unbothered.

My toddler is obsessed with diggers and after looking through the product description and reviews, I thought this would be a great digger. It was not everything I was looking for given the pricing and description. Pros It is durable and sturdy, as other reviews attest to. Cons Design isn't great, the digger arm is so stiff that I as an adult have trouble moving it up and down. You can imagine how much harder that makes it for a child. Also, the digger arm is the perfect distance from the body of the toy for toddler fingers to get jammed when trying to move the digger arm up and down. ... show more

For those moms out there who have construction loving kiddos you know how incredibly hard it is to find quality affordable excavator toys. This piece is a win. It’s incredibly durable-my 3 year old has yet to do any damage to it after months of use. It’s also perfectly sized as a larger play toy. My ONLY complaint about this is that the handle doesn’t help you actually scoop anything. This thing is so cool. My son loves this thing so much, it’s only flaw is that it doesn’t have holes to drain the water from the tires or the arm other than that, this is very well worth it the hassle free shipping was pretty cool

From the description list, I assumed that the toy would be strong enough to actually dig in the sandbox and does but it will hold only 1/2 to 3/4 of a cup of sand.. not much for a digging boy!
