The hardware is easy to mount but it’s difficult to get the shelf fully level — it tends to dip a degree or two towards the front. You’ll want to have some shims at the ready and get everything level before installing the final fixing screw. It’s a beautiful shelf and with the advice above I fully recommend.

Photos to come. The 72"X12"X2" arrived with a mere 1-inch dent thanks to the clods of FedEx as the dent lined up with a corresponding creasing of the outer carton. I called & Marilyn asked me to to send a photo, I sent several of shelf and box & she was so SO NICE! Instantly responded she'd already checked stock and was rushing me a replacement I had it in a day and a half even more beautiful than the first. The screws for the very helpful thoughtfully designed mounting bracket made it a dream to install. I made the investment of an inexpensive stud finder that guarantees visual lighting of full width of Studs. The screws for mounting it were so good I didn't even bother drilling pilot holes the were self tapping wonders. I suggest if don't have one to get a 2 or 3 inch drill or driver but extension bit for getting close easily with the upper holes. There are 2 rows closely spaced fitted on a diagonal so you can absolutely get in each stud and so long as your length of shelf crosses at least 2 Studs they'll be fine. I hit 4 Studs The slit routed or cut into this beautiful solid wood shelf is purposely tight so if like me you're doing it alone it might take a moment to get a bit of the bracket blade to slide into the shelf but once it does its really tight. It's gorgeous and Joel in his installation videos is great so go to it and watch him and yours will be as simply and quickly up. Screw in the provided top screws to tighten down on the bracket and it's a dream. This did cost as much as a rather nicely made credenza I was feeling I had to buy due my being chained to a heavy 11-1/2-inch Home theater receiver a speaker at each end, DVD player and cable box plus modem and wireless router not to mention a potted plant and its holding it all beautifully. I have just what I wanted for a clean contemporary handling of all I listed under my wall mounted TV nothing on the floor, no cabinet or legs visually taking up space in my 12X18 living room. Joel and Marilyn are giving superlative customer service selling very Finely crafted solid wood shelves beautifully finished. I wish I could rate this 10 ✨

High quality, solid wood and not hollow. The installation bar is easy and just simply works. The stain matched the listing perfectly. Once installed on the wall it is very sturdy of what you would expect from a floating shelf. There is plenty of protection during shipment and I didn't have any issues with the product. The price is slightly steep since it's essentially a piece of cut and stained wood. But that said, you can definitely see care was put into the look and stain of the wood. It has a nice rustic look. Plus, I will gladly pay a premium for an elegant hardware solution for hanging. In conclusion, I love that it's solid wood. The stain is great. And the hanging hardware is second to none for such a large shelf. Easy to install and confident with the structural integrity.

The shelves arrived just as expected. The grain shows through which I love. I ordered additional shelves for another room since the company is a pleasure to work with. One of the shelves was damaged due to delivery. The company replaced the shelf within 3 days. They then sent a return label for the damaged shelf return.

This floating shelf is perfect for my space! There was a bit of confusion on how it was supposed to be mounted at first along with getting the nails on the top through the metal for more sturdiness but it all worked out perfectly!
