After cataract surgery, I have a hard time seeing close up to do eye-makeup. I was thinking I need a one-lens reader glasses. Lo & behold, there was such a thing on Amazon. As other reviewers stated, it is not conducive to putting on eye liner but works ok for eye shadow and mascara. Well, at least for one eye. My eye sight is not the same in both eyes so when the lens is flipped over one eye, it's great; when the lens is flipped over the other eye, not so much.

These 3.5s are great! I wear a 2.5 in readers, and I have a pair of these glasses in a 2.5, however I kept having the experience of taking my contacts out at night, getting my face closely in front of the mirror and thinking, "Whoa! I walked around all day looking like this ?!" Eyebrow pencil was wild, and cover up was not smoothed all the way out. So, I went for greater magnification, and it's PERFECT! Probably could have even done a 3.0, but the lesson is MORE MAGNIFICATION than your normal reading glasses. :) So happy I did!

I really hoped these would be fantastic. My eye doctor even showed them to me, though she never tried them. The concept is great, but like other reviews said, they are very blurry. I got 2.50 because that is my prescription and what I buy for extra cheapy reading glasses. It's extremely clumsy to work around the frames to apply eyeliner and mascara. If you could see through the blurry lens they would work for applying brows and eyeshadow. I will be returning them and going back to pulling out my lighted magnifying mirror to apply makeup. Maybe with some improvements these glasses would be awesome.
