So I love these and have used them for quite a few things, both lightweight and heavier weight. Now, here’s the thing. I have 2 holding up a wood rod and 3 plants in pots (I remember weighing it and it was 8-10lbs or so I can’t remember exact, but around that number). They’re hanging on the ceiling and have stayed put for 1+ year SO FAR. Now, I also used 2 of these to hang up a thin cloth organizer, which held socks, and was WELL under a few lbs. That failed incredibly quickly; within a day. I also used one hook to hang up a lightweight jacket under 1 lb. That held up a month before it came down. All of the surfaces were similar; clean and smooth (painted matte walls with no bumps etc). Now my theory is that if you hang anything with any weight at all (1+ lb) “horizontally” (by horizontal I mean the hook and whatever you hang is flush against the wall; imagine using these to hang a coat as a normal wall hook for example, and that’s what I mean about “horizontally” hope this all makes sense lol), it doesn’t distribute weight properly through the whole sticky pad area, so when it creates more tension on one side it starts to peel/fail, where as if you hang something vertically (from the ceiling for example, so the hook “dangles” downward), because there is tension along the whole sticky pad it distributes weight better, thus able to hold better. Maybe I’m wrong about that, and this is all a coincidence, but EVERYTHING I have hung up that was around 1+ lb always failed when attaching the hook normally (horizontally/parallel with the wall). The only things that have lasted have been VERY lightweight objects, I’m talking like hanging a pair of scissors. I don’t recommend using these for hanging heavy objects unless you’re able to attach the hook “vertically” from a ceiling or a surface where you’re able to do so. Also, I don’t recommend hanging anything at the advertised amount it can hang. No way do I trust that. You can try, but make sure you don’t use them to hang anything breakable or near breakable objects or you’ll be upset one day guaranteed. Now, the other tricky part is removing them. If you just try to heat these up and then peel these off straight from a wall, unless it’s tile or metal, you’ll be real sorry you did so because it’s going to rip off the paint and potentially part of your wall (ask how I know lol). The trick is to ever so slightly lift off one corner so that you’re able to get a scraper-like tool underneath. Like a painter’s metal scraping tool or spatula. Doesn’t need to be those exact objects, but whatever you use needs to be very thin and sturdy. After you ever so slightly lift a corner, work that tool under the sticky pad and gently start to poke(stab)/scrape under the pad so the pad starts to loose adhesion and lift. Go very slow and work your way down the whole length of the sticky pad. It will take awhile to work its way off, but eventually you’ll get there and remove it without any damage! If you keep all of this in mind, I’m sure you’ll love them too as they’re so convenient, but don’t get your hopes up and keep in mind they can and DO fail (take it from me who has used these 1+ year and have over a dozen in my house right now).

I missed this when reading the description of these hooks (though it is in the body of the product description). These hooks are not intended to be used on painted surfaces. On brick, it would probably take the paint off, which is easily remedied. On dry wall, however, it bubbles the entire paint and top layer of drywall which is a whole other thing to fix. This happened to one of my walls when I went to reposition one of the six hooks I had just put up to hang pictures on. I promptly removed the others so as not to cause further damage from prolonged adherence to the wall. Five of the six hooks bubbled the paint and dry wall. What a mess! I still give the hooks four stars because I'm sure they work great on solid surfaces like brick, ceramic, etc. Also, the hooks are not great for hanging pictures, which is what I ordered them for. The hooks are so deep that the top of the picture sticks out from the wall about 1/2", and that is after using pliers to change the depth of the hook.

I bought this as a gamble to see if this worked. Where it says it can stick to anything, I was a skeptic but can report I have 4 of them sticking very well on surfaces of bathroom wall tile, mirror and also the under portion of a bookcase shelf. It can hold up to 13 pounds, I haven't attempted that yet, but it does hold towels well individually, also hair ties and mini lanterns, so a variety of weights. They are clear so it doesn't stand out like a sore thumb. I took a risk buying these just because the price was good and like that it was a good outcome.

These are amazing!!!!! I have bought so many and continue to find ways to use they are so sturdy and durable. I have had one stuck to the tile in the shower for months with no sign of lifting or pulling off. But do not stick on painted walls unless you are not removing, they will peeling the paint. Use for plant hangers and they stand the weight with out issue and you can’t see them, the clear suction is the best

These work as instructed. I use them for the shower. And they stick perfectly. They have never fallen off. But taking them off the wall is a pain. They come off but it’s hard and you have to get goo off to get the sticky stuff off. But they do come off.

I bought these same hooks several years ago and they are still in place!! I have purchased other brands over the years and been very disappointed with the strength of the adhesive. I am a senior and it makes it easier for me to access and keep organized the items that I use frequently. I also have my beloved male dog which likes to lift his leg when he sees things on the floor! This discourages that and protects my personal property! I will no longer waste my time and money often finding the failed hook on along with the item hanging on the hook already back on the floor!

These hooks are super sturdy for walls that are flat and hold significant weight. HOWEVER, they are not suitable for textured walls, and even lighter objects that were hung onto these hooks that were stuck on textured walls fell within a couple of hours. I even made sure that the adhesive was stuck on pretty well by taking an object and smoothing the adhesive onto the textured wall. The hooks that are on flatter surfaces I am sure won't budge though! Command hooks are the better alternative for textured walls :)

These were used to hang a decently heavy Christmas garland across our office's front counter, as well as employee (decorative) stockings. It held up remarkably well. The adhesive part is a good sized square that was able to wrap over the top and bottom of the countertop and held our decorations up beautifully. However, they were a little too good at their job, as we've only successfully removed one of the hooks from our counters since then- and our client's clothes and purses do tend to get hung up on them rather often. So, my advice is put these somewhere you won't mind them being year round, because once they've stuck on they're stuck for a long time.
