The color was true to the picture and they filter the light without making the room too dark. However one panel had about six 2 inch yellow streaks that did not wash out. The streaks are only noticeable in the daylight when the curtain is pulled across the window so I did not return them.

I bought these simply as a way to give a finished look to the corners of our sliders, not for privacy of any sort, or to filter the incoming light. These are very nicely tailored with straight edges, no hanging threads or pulls, and strong backtabs for hanging. The weave is tighter than I thought it might be for this purchase so there is a bit of semi-privacy to be had if pulled closed during daylight hours. It does have a true linen-look to it and the color was a true linen/cream/flax. They come packaged nicely in a soft plastic pouch printed with NY landmarks all over it. Will give our sliders a nice, tailored touch for a great price.
