These curtains are AMAZINGGGGGGG!! If you are looking for beautiful, high quality, 100% blackout curtains this is it!! My husband put ours up in our bedroom, fell asleep for a mid day nap and when he woke up he asked for the curtains to be opened for light…. I had to inform him it had already turned into night. I purchased these curtains to prevent the cold wall from reducing the room temperature for our cats. Our utility company is PG&E and due to their insane electric and especially gas rate, we don't use our furnace any more. If we use furnace to keep room temperature even just around at 63 degrees, the gas bill alone will easily get to $600~$1,000 a month. California Utility Commission is not functioning. They are always for PG&E, not for consumers. I purchased four panels (2 orders). I also purchased inner lace curtains. Depending upon the outside temperature, these curtains help maintain the room 2~5 F degrees warmer than before. When it's still cold for our cats, we sometimes use an oil heater. We also use a quilt on the floor and the cats are using self warming cat beds. Our cats now look okay not feeling cold. As a matter of fact, sometimes it seems they may feel a little hot and they go to bathroom tiles to cool down their bodies. As to the quality and design of the curtains, they are well made and both sides lengths are equal (not one side is shorter or longer). And the design is very attractive. I do not like anything too contemporary side including home designs because I feel leaning to too contemporary (or modern?) side being gray/beige tone and boxy designs lacks characters and inviting warm. But the design of these curtains are not too contemporary nor too archaic or baroque, and I think these curtains will match most homes' interiors. The back side lining of the curtain is black and maybe 95 to 100% blackout. Since the lining is black, I wonder if these curtains really work when installed against the sunny side of windows in summer to reduce heat inside rooms. In any case for our purpose, they are beautiful and functioning well. ... show more
