I got these to see if they could reinforce a sofa that was sagging because its springs had deformed and compressed. The reason I picked this vs. other similar products was that it advertised a solid wood insert, whereas most others used particle board or plywood (which I know could deform or break with weight). My main concerns were that that the type of wood is not identified, and that the inserts are only .4", but I couldn't find a better product. (A number of bamboo sofa reinforcers are available, but my readings about bamboo suggested that it was not really any harder or more resistant to deformation than other hardwoods, and these products were also considerably more expensive.) I'm glad to report that these supports have done a decent job at dealing with the sagging sofa springs -- the sofa is considerably firmer and more supported with them than without. These inserts, by themselves, were not enough to fix the sofa completely, as I also needed rigid foam inserts in the cushions to really make the sofa firm again -- but I had expected that. Because they work pretty well, I therefore give these wood inserts 4 stars. Had the wood been a little thicker and the type of wood been identified, I would have given them 5.

This cushion support is very sturdy and does an excellent job of providing support for my loveseat. The size is for a small sofa. My loveseat is 55" wide and the support is a bit larger, but was easily adjusted by turning under the two end sections. My loveseat was sagging in the center but the support is sturdy enough to hold up the center part of the couch very well. It was very quick and easy to install. I am extremely pleased with it.

I have a sleeper sofa that has a natural dip under the cushions across the middle, with the sides being higher because of the folded sleeper frame. After a few years of sofa use the cushions started to sag terribly. I started to have back problems because I was sitting in a crooked position, tilting to the middle of the sofa. I was ready to get a new couch until I tried this. It provides 100% of the support my sofa was missing. It's sturdy so when I sit down I no longer tilt. Is it as good as a sofa with good springs/support built in? Probably not. But it's what I needed. Try it before you give up on your furniture.

My living room furniture has fallen victim to 3 children over the course of 11 years and as a result has a few "sink holes" where the support just isn't there anymore. Rather than buying a new set I thought I'd try to salvage what I have, and bought two of these. Super easy to put in place, fit perfectly, and best of all are very supportive.
