Super shiny, well made sturdy chain. It's so sturdy though that the end of the necklace is too big and doesn't fit through most of my pendants. It's fits through some though so it's not a total loss. Would probably not buy again unless I needed a sturdy necklace for a big charm.

I don’t know about you, but it’s really not in my budget right now to replace worn out chains. I have some really old gold plated chains, and they have reached the end of their life expectancy. So I have been looking at new chains for a few years now and I just won’t spend my money on gold chains because they are so outrageously expensive. I decided to look for 925 chains instead, and I wanted a gold color plating on top. I could feel the difference in the weight of this compared to authentic gold chains. However, this looks just like a gold chain to the naked eye. So only time will tell if this holds up after wearing this for the next year regularly. I plan on sleeping in it and wearing it in the shower so I’ll be able to update my review if it begins to look worn. The chain design of the rope is always very strong, and this quality definitely feels sturdy to me. So if you have some chains that are on their way out, and you are being careful how you choose to spend your money, why not try some chains like these? People see the gold color or they see the silver color, so if you don’t care if it’s authentic or not these will be a good price point for you. Maybe one day we will be able to afford authentic gold and sterling silver again. So in the meantime, it would be wonderful to upgrade a few worn out chains, so our pendants that hang from them look new again! I do hope this holds up because it’s sturdy and comfortable, and the lobster clasp was much easier to open close than other lobster claps I’ve had. This lobster clasp is on the large side and with my arthritis this was helpful for me to fasten by myself. It felt lightweight on my neck and the rope design is lovely. The rope design is one of my favorite designs for necklaces because of how long they hold up, and can support a heavier pendant. ... show more

The overall quality of this necklace is fine; I'm giving it fewer stars because the sizing is inaccurate. I ordered the 18" chain because of where it would sit on my neck. This necklace is lovely, durable, and perfect for daily wear. I've been wearing this necklace since I got it. I added a moonstone charm that I already had and have been wearing it for just about 3 weeks now. I have not taken it off the shower and have not experienced any tarnishing at all from this necklace. I only wear sterling silver and this necklace is of similar quality to some of my more expensive pieces. The clasp is a standard lobster claw clasp, but it is quite strong, making it very durable and resistant to breaking. The length is perfect and matches a necklace that I am replacing. Jewlpire has good quality S925 sterling silver necklace chains for all types of wear and sizes. I have more than one of their brand and they are always reasonably priced and easy to wear. I like that they look great with just the chain, or add a pendant or charm to them to give them a different look. This particular one is a really bright silver color. Brighter than I was expecting, but I still like it! With the quality craftsmanship Jewlpire chains have never caused me any allergy issues at all.
