Okay I am impressed lmao I have never done acrylic or polygel before, I have done dip powder but this was so simple and easy to do and learn as a beginner. I used alcohol to clean my brush between nails to get any gel off and to also clean gel off my fingers and it helped a lot. I love the shine, this color is a bit translucent but I personally like that. Its very buildable and easy to get longer nails. I did break the nail clippers it came with by trying to cut down one of my nails but my triangle cutters worked well. I do recommend this! Only thing I wish was different is the size of the base coat top coat and matte top coat. Idk what to do if I run out.

This is a great starter kit for someone looking to try polygel. Everything in the set works great for beginners, and it's the perfect set to get you started. Although after a few uses, I realized I needed a better drill and drill bits (Melody Susie has some great ones that aren't too expensive), and a dust collector to help with the dust. The lamp is nice and strong, the colors are pretty, and I've already got 10 uses out of it (7 manicures and 3 pedicures) and I'm just now needing to buy more top coat. I also used a larger brush to dip into the slip gel and applied the gel directly to my nail instead of using the forms (once my nails got long enough). I feel like that allowed me to control the application of product and have a better shaped cuticle area. All in all great starter kit, which is exactly what I bought it for!

Overall, it works. The nail formers aren’t my thing but that’s because I’m not the greatest with forming shapes. The light works well. The black filers work but leave a residue so I’d invest in another one - that’s bigger too. The cuticle oil I was having an issue with getting any out. The polygel isn’t bad, but from viewing other polgels on YouTube (nails by Vic), I’d invest another. It can be a bit runny, so I personally had to do one nail at a time (while Vic could do them all). It can also be very sticky. I’ll show where I started to where I am now (it’s been a journey lol). Unfortunately I didn’t get a close up pic of my blue set, which was the beginning of the peak of my skills.
