  • Not sure about durability
Color: Purple Size: Large 4”- 4.75”
For the money these costs, I am truly concerned about durability, as the palm protector is made of nylon and not leather like most grips. Used 1x and showing some wear already. I'll give them a brief chance over the next week, but if not going to hold up, will definitely return for a refund and go with rogue or comparable brand. We shall see......... ... show more

  • decent value but not very helpful for TTB/ pull ups. I would prefer a coarse material for traction
Color: Black Size: Small 3”- 3.5”
Bought these because they were a great Black Friday deal. Not very helpful for TTB/ pull ups. I would prefer a coarse material for traction and durability/quality.

  • Still get calluses and rips on the bottoms of my fingers...
Color: Black Size: Large 4”- 4.75”
I'm a CrossFitter who's been using WODies for just over a year. I'm on my second pair since having my first stolen from my car in April of 2015 (caught totally unawares of their apparently high street value.) On the plus side, of all the gloves, grips, and wraps I've seen people use for CrossFit, these are probably some of the best. It's hard to beat the versatility they offer, protecting your hands and wrists during all sorts of random WOD movements. It's great to have just one product do so much. I used the sizing guide and followed the instructions for opening the finger holes and they fit very well. My second pair has lasted me eight months, and they still have a lot of life left in them. And, of course, they've done a great job protecting my hands (emphasis on hands) from rips and calluses. However, when fellow athletes ask me how much I like them, I usually heave a sigh and blurt an apathetic "eh." Here's the rub (pun intended): WODies leave the space at the bottom of each finger (and up) exposed. And this space, at least on me, has been particularly subject to bad calluses. My skin there is constantly torn and beat up, and it's gotten to the point where just dead-hanging on pull-up bars is really painful. I think the fact that the WODies require a lot of chalk exacerbates the problem as the space at the bottom of my fingers during WODs is coated in a lot of residual chalk (because it's nearby the surface of the WODies). The last thing you want to do while you are trying to PR Helen is take gobs of time carefully applying chalk to your grips to avoid this problem. I've also found the portion of the grips that lies outside my ring finger (near the base of my pinky) to fold over and wedge itself in between my ring and pinky fingers, sometimes painfully pinching my skin. And then there's the stank. Even if I leave these bad boys out to dry, they still smell. It's nice that I can throw them in the wash (I do, once a week), but the wrist wraps take a while to dry; sometimes they're not fully dry for my next WOD a couple days later. Also, too, the smell doesn't always go completely away. I might try sticking them in the freezer (to kill bacteria, like what people do with jeans instead of washing them) and see how that goes. A couple of other things to consider... If I'm doing a WOD in which I need to wear these and do double-unders, I've found it much harder to rotate my wrists and properly execute DUs with these on. I've found that taking them off for DUs is a big help (but then it sucks to have to rush to put them back on, then take them off again, etc.). However, this could probably happen for any product offering wrist wraps. For muscle-ups, I've found that I don't actually like the feel of the grips on wooden rings, but I do need the wrist support. I've worn these backwards for MUs (grips on the outside of my hand), which helps. But, again, it's hassle to alter them during a WOD. Bottom Line: These are durable and offer good protection. They might smell after a while. They have left me in search of a product that protects the bottom of my fingers from rips and calluses. But, hey, they might work for you, and they're probably a lot better than whatever you may be using now. ... show more

  • Pretty good, but could be better… if only the palm was made of LEATHER!!
Color: Royal Blue Size: Large 4”- 4.75”
I’ve had these now for nearly a year; using them about 4 times per week. Mainly functional strength training. The wrist support is pretty good, and the palm protection is okay. It’s neoprene type material over the palm which can be a bit slippery. I’ve seen other reviews with complaints about difficulty with pull ups etc which I can confirm. These movements are possible, I just chalk up a bit and it helps. If JerkFit only made the palm out of LEATHER it would get 5 stars from me. ... show more

  • Not What I Expected. Honest Review.
Color: Red Size: Large 4”- 4.75”
I read all of the reviews claiming this was a great product for protecting the hands from calluses and that these are excellent for workouts on the pull-up bar. My experience proved otherwise. These didn't really do that great of a job protecting my hands. In fact, they actually made my calluses worse! Let me just say that my hands are pretty tough as I've been doing workouts on the pull-up bar for some time. So, my calluses are developed, but they are still a little painful at times depending on what kind of exercises I'm doing on the pull-up bar. These gloves are supposed to protect your hands, but the fabric layer on the palm is so thin that it doesn't provide any protection, especially when you do exercises that involve your hands turning around the bar, such as muscle-ups. Also, it is very important to note that you absolutely NEED to use chalk in order for these to even work. The fabric is really slippery, so it requires chalk to be absorbed into it to provide adequate grip. Otherwise, these grips will make you have to really fight to grip the pull-up bar to keep from slipping off, which will cause even more friction on your hands, which will make your calluses worse. So, if you're going to buy these, then prepare to use chalk for sure! Also, the finger holes are not all that comfortable, but they do get better over time. At least the stitching seems to be pretty strong and durable. However, the thick stitching that runs over your little finger callus area is not very comfortable. It puts additional pressure on that particular area. So, these grips might be good for someone that has extremely tough hands who also wants a minimal layer between the hands and bar. Again, chalk must be used since the material is super slippery otherwise. All things considered, I'd actually go with Bear Komplex carbon grips as they are a far superior product. ... show more
