These books are too cute!! I am an avid book reader, so of course I have always incorporated reading into the lives of my 4 kiddos from a very young age. We have tons of children's books of all types. My youngest is almost 18 months old and she has yet to develop the ability nor desire required to sit still and listen to a story. These books however are perfect for her, they are short, so no long attention span needed, and the tails keep her engaged in the story. We have several of these, Puppy tails, Kitten tails, Silly tails, Fishy tails, Dino tails, Farm tails and Jungle tails. We chose to pass up some of the titles like Pet tails, as those "tails" are covered in the other books we have. These books are really great for babies and toddlers of all ages and introduce several attention grabbing and learning aspects . They are soft and washable, great for chewing babies, and the different shapes, colors and textures of the tails offer lots of learning and fun. The only Jellycat tails books that aren't washable are ones that have the sound chips. I definitely recommend these for little ones. These books, Babies Day, and Goodnight Teddy are the only soft books that keep my baby girl interested enough to participate in the story.

I recommend this book to every new parent for a kid of any age. My child first used this book when he was 2 months old, when he first learned to touch things. He loved staring at the bold colors; it was very stimulating and helped him learn patterns early. The wrinkly sound of the cover pages made him very curious and he wanted to play with it more. By age 4 months, he grabs the tales, feels the textures and enjoys looking at it. There is only crinkly stuff in the covers; and the color faded a little bit when washed. It is great book.

It started when at less than a month old she grabbed and held on to a jellycat frog at the photographers. We thought it a fluke but ordered her one because we were so surprised at her response. It is still the one toy she consistently reaches for at 4 months and then stashes between her body and hand. As to the book, it also has become a favorite among her toys. It engages her at lap and tummy time. She likes to touch and mouth the tails. I'm beginning to believe that everything by this company my grand daughter will love. And it is true love, because I assure you even at 4 months she has dozens of toys, but that frog is still her favorite to cuddle and now this book is her favorite book. She will simply drop any of the other toys or books she is holding and grab for these whenever offered and then to everyone's surprise usually ignore other toys offered.

First off, the book is cute. SUPER simple, crinkley pages, nice textures. My 6 month old son has been playing with it for a few months now and enjoys it. HOWEVER, whoever was in charge of labeling the "jungle animals" should be fired... They labeled the Lemur as a Raccoon. Maybe I'm the only one to notice but come on man... You had one job. There are literally 10 words in the whole book lol. Not sure about the jungle raccoons.

I was looking for a birthday present for my niece, turning one year old. I went to Target, looking for something she may be interested in. The whole situation was pretty hard to gauge as she lives a few states away. I got overwhelmed trying to force a gift idea that wouldn't have worked out. I went home and went online so see what other options were available. I would this, and I figured this would make a great gift. It's intended to stimulate the babies sensory, while keeping them entertained, and has some learning value to it. I went ahead and made the order. About four or five days later, the typical Amazon brown box showed up in the mail. I opened it and was please to see that the book was wrapped adequately, and was also still sealed in its packaging. Perfect for baby as sanitary condition is always a concern. The book is very soft, and colorful. Several different types of felts and other textiles were used. It also seemed very durable and easy to clean. I was very happy with this purchase, and received a thank you from her parents saying how great of an idea this was. I would highly recommend as a gift for the ~1 year age.
