Surprising amazing and simple
Idk how long it will last but for rn it’s amazing. Ignore the instructions just pick your gears that fit add the lock screw and slip the locking ring into the grove, then just self tap the motor into place with the bracket then the gearing. I just then got a hot knife and cut the original plastics to add the switches. The wiring is just matching the colors and then adding power and a ground. The motors work great are super fast , smooth and don’t rattle. I put this in my gf matrix and I’m obsessed it feels so good getting McDonald’s now. ... show more

Great product
Great product for a really good price. Installation took me about 2.5 hours by myself at night. Everything works perfectly so far—hopefully it holds up over time.

Easy to install and they work great!
This kit arrived in 2 days. It was packaged very nicely and has everything you might need. The quality is what you eould expect for the price. The installation process is straight forward if you understand cars and how wireing works. The motors are not quiet but they are not annoying either. If your window regulators are in good eorking order these motors will raise and lower your windows just fine. I read many complaints from people saying they are slow. I installed this in a full sized chevy truck with heavy windows. As I stated above if your regulators are greased and eork properly these motors will work great. Make sure you secure the motor and gear ends properly and mount thrm in an area that will not conflict with the door pannel and you will not have any problems. The only reason im not giving them 5 stars is because of the quality of the gears and the lack of wiring diagram in my package. I would suggest these to anyone wanting to upgrade to power windows. ... show more

Don't let the bad reviews dissuade you
I read the reviews before I bought this and decided to get it anyway. A couple of the reviews mentioned stripping of the plastic adapters and a burning and melting of electrical wires. My experience with these issues are as follows; Stripping of the adapters - when I tried using the tightest, most snug fitting adapters and powered the windows up and down a few times and at the end of the window travel the motor would continue to turn when the crank could no longer turn as the window was either all the way up or all the way down and eventually stripping the adapter that fits over the window crank. The solution is to use the best fitting adapter, one that you don't have to force on that has very slight play on the window crank, the window will roll up and down smoothly and will positively stop in the maximum up or down position. The burning wires. As I was installing the power windows I would test them occasionally throughout the process, I had the ground wire connected and I would hold the positive wire to a positive lead with my fingers to operate the window. While doing this I could feel the wire getting hot so I looked around to see what's causing this then noticed the wires to the other window wasn't hooked up yet and were making contact with each other, I separated the wires and insulated them and tried again and wires stopped getting hot. It could also be because the installer didn't pay attention to the 2 brown wires in the harness, one of the brown wires has a red stripe on it, easy to miss and connect it to the wrong position in the connector plug if your not paying attention. I really like it and my advise to anyone who's going to install one of these is take your time, don't rush it, it is a universal kit and installations will vary in the ease, time and by the skill of the installer. ... show more

Fairly impressive
Im genuinely impressed with how well these work. I put these in an old astro van with big heavy glass compared to a sport car and they still roll up and down pretty quickly. They where way easier to fit than I thought they where going to. All in all, I would say this is a great substitute for doing a full swap. The only question now is how long will it last? If its good for a couple years before I have to replace a motor, ill be happy with the price. I'll update if I have any unusual or noteworthy failures. ... show more

Motors are to weak.
When I first installed one of the motors burnt up within about 2 weeks. They sent me a new one. I put it in. The drivers side worked ok for awhile. The passenger side is the one I had to replace. It would sometimes go up and sometimes it would not. I had to flip the switch to inch it up. I still do. Now it’s both windows. They won’t go up, I have to flip the switch and help them go up. Really sucks. But it’s been over a year. They work. They just don’t go up on their own very easily. I have done more research since than. I believe I know why. These motors are 12 amp motors. But all power window motors on all vehicles are 15-20 amps. The motor is just to weak. 12 amps is just not going to cut it. I will go to a junk yard and get some motors that are stronger. Buy new switches and change the circuit fuse. Or wire them with relays. But I’m pretty sure the 12 amp motor is the reason they don’t work for me and the reason they fail for others. The only thing good in this kit is the part that hooks up to where the original handle was. ... show more

Quality of life improvement but cheap. Keep your expectations low.
Overall it's a great quality of life improvement but it does have it's issues. The passenger side suffers from voltage drop (much slower to open/close). Also, the wiring instructions are non-existant. You'll definitely want to run a wire to your battery or use a 30A Fuse Tap to power it. The install itself is straight forward and easy enough. Definitely go out and get a set of self-tappers from Lowes/Home Depot as the provided hardware is garbage. Overall, the product is cheap but it gets the job done. ... show more

I watched a YouTube video on install and everything was straightforward. It took about an hour to get wires connected and window motor mounted. What an amazing idea with this product. Absolutely, stoked with performance and price. I can’t stress how good it feels to have powered windows on my 1991 Nissan hardbody…great addition. I also added powered locks that I bought a year ago. Of course time will tell… but I am totally and completely happy with this powered window project. 👏🙌😁🤙 ... show more
