Great handle. It's sturdy, has a nice appearance, and the rubber handle is easy enough to grab without causing any discomfort. I wish they had dimensional drawings for this product, as we are mounting them on custom equipment. It would make the designing process much easier.

    • The Shine Ain't There...
I've bought several sets of these, now the last set shows the chrome has been compromised. The "chrome" is no longer shiny and reflective. It's still plated with chrome except it's a matted or dulled finish. Defiantly noticeable difference. The other options (if any) are black paint or zinc. As we all know, zinc finish will spot and corrode with ambient moisture. ... show more

These handles are of generous size, shiny bright and are very well made. And with the hard plastic grips, comfortable to hold some weight. I did find the spring return action too strong - think mousetrap - so I disassembled the plates and removed the springs. Otherwise, I'm very happy with them mounted on my custom tool and parts cases. ... show more

Nice set of handles. The fold-out handles appear sturdy. The secondary plate holding the handles and their springs is riveted 6 places and integrated into two of the mounting holes. I expect these will stand up to loads exerted by humans picking up the box or whatever it is mounted on. No load rating is specified, so I wouldn't use these for lifting by straps. There are 10 mounting holes around the main plate. No hardware is included. Mounting surface will need about 7/16 to 1/2 inch recess. I noted that there is a sharp edge around the edges of the main plate- presumably from a stamping operation. These should be handled carefully until mounted to avoid cutting one's fingers.
