    • This is a Great Machine!
I bought this a second machine to my high end sewing/ embroidery (new car valued) machine and I find that although it doesn't have all the bells and whistles, I enjoy sewing on it more than the other one! It's quiet and sturdy and very easy to use. There are some features I miss out of pure laziness but if this were the only machine I had, I wouldn't complain at all. My one issue is that the extension table doesn't lock into the machine so it's basically placed up against instead of attached. It hasn't moved on me or been a huge issue; just a small feature I wish it had. This is eventually going into a recessed sewing table so that extension won't be used anyway so it's not that big of a bother. Highly recommend. ... show more

    • I am loving my new sewing machine!
I got this machine for Christmas 2023. I do t think I have slowed down sewing since I got it!! I am a Janome kind of gal and I think their products are top notch! This machine did not disappoint!!! Easy to use and has beautiful stitches!

Purchased the Janome 3160QOV. Delivery was quick and product was well packed. Great written communication from this seller. The machine itself is wonderful. It runs quiet and stitch quality out of the box was perfect. I enjoy making patchwork quilts and researched many machines. But kept coming back to this one.     • Best machine ever! So glad I bought one!
All the details of the machine are online, so I will skip but I highly recommend watching the youtube videos. I upgraded from a $99 machine that I have had for 15 years. Sewing on the new machine was like going from a skateboard to the USS Enterprise. Here are some highlights- It threads the needle for you!!! It cuts the thread for you!! These two actions will save you so much time! It has a speed control and a great feed dog system, so you can almost let go of the fabric while sewing. Stitches are perfect and even. You can adjust the size of the stitch and position of the needle about 40 different ways. It knots the thread for you. It is very quiet and has a nice hum to it when running. You can sew without a foot pedal, I thought I would not use that feature but it is amazing! It has many different stitches and comes with packet of accessories. It will come with 3 needles, Amazon has great deals on Organ Needles and Janome Needles. My sewing went from good to professional with this machine. Best advice I got from my quilt buddies-- replace the needles often, and read the manual. This is one of the best machines out there, and the red white and blue is a beautiful touch especially if you are a QOV fan. ... show more

I've been absolutely thrilled with my new Janome sewing machine. It seems like the designers thought of everything a quilter could want. I love that it came with an extention table, and a foot that's exactly 1/4" for piecing. It sews very smoothly. Easy to learn. I like that a bobbin can be wound without un-threading the machine. My only complaint is that the space between the sewing plate and the bottom of the machine body is a bit short. I can barely get my hand in there to change the foot.     • stitch settings don't include letters. can I attach or do ...(besides hand stitching)?
Still in the box. Will rate accurately once opened and used. I realized too late that none of the 60 stitch settings included letters. Is there anything I can attach or do (besides hand stitching)? One comment said no embroidering but decorative alphabet. Can anyone explain the what and how of that? Thanks! ... show more

    • Suspect deceit...but nice machine.
Nice machine, but it wasn't new though it said it was. It was repackaged a nd sent to me. Too many things out of place and not "packaged" properly that screamed used. I think sellers should be penalized for false advertisement. It doesnt appear to be anything wrong with the machine but the price should have been discounted and sold as used or refurbished if that is what it is. I could not return because outside the window. ... show more
