Bigshot used in production arboriculture. Works as advertised. This is a great timesaver/laborsaver. I would advise caution when transporting/storing the head. Do your best to preserve the integrity of the rubber bands. Also, just my 5 cents, when lining up your shot, line up the poles and only draw the bigshot back for a minimal time period. It seems that holding it back decreases the potential energy of the shot. (less height, or missed shot) I don't use the trigger accessory for the aforementioned concern. ... show more

I bought this to get a pull rope high up in a tree to pull in the opposite direction of the lean. Getting this leverage helped to safely drop the tree. It took me a few practice shots, but after that I was easily able to shoot the throwline up 50' - 75' through the tree canopy.

The big shot does exactly what it supposed to do, placing throw bag precisely where you want it. The optional trigger release was well worth it for much steadier aiming and shot placement
