  • Comfortable fit, sharp look, great armor
Size: 32W x 30L Color: Black
These actually exceeded my expectations. They're comfortable to ride in and fairly breathable with the zipper vents open but will also definitely keep you warm on the cold days. The material is durable, the armor is placed well and seems sufficient for impact absorption. I ordered a Medium (30" inseam)it is almost perfect for me, just a bit tight on the glutes when on the bike. I am about 5'7" 180lb and I normally wear a 32×30 mens pants. Overall a great buy for price and quality. ... show more

  • Hawk stood behind their product.
Size: 40W x 32L Color: Black
I have to say that the value of these is off the chart. They are well made and have knee and hip armor and seem to have enough protection for the dual sport riding I do. I waited to write this review as mine developed a small rip by the knee where it looks like the material just pulled free. I emailed HWK support and they were quick to respond and sent me a replacement pair no issues. I ordered the 3XL in short (30 inch inseam). I wear a 40 waist and 32 inseam in jeans and these fit perfectly. There is a lot of adjustment available in the waist. I originally ordered a 32 inseam but with these being over the boot pants they were long - I returned them for the shorter inseam. The placement of the knee guard is just right for me - not too high or too low. I would consider these a three season pants as they are not vented and do get hot in the Georgia summer. I wore these on the Smokey Mountain 500 and they held up well. They are somewhat water resistant as I did get caught in a downpour and they kept me dry. I also like the velcro leg design for over the boot. The one minor ding is the velcro closure on the pockets is super strong so while you will never lose anything you have to use two hands to open the pocket. After comparing these to brand name pants it makes me realize what a rip-off the top brand pants really are - yes they have a little more protection and thicker material but not enough to really matter for my style of riding. ... show more

  • Warm, wind resistant, but tight.
Size: 40W x 32L Color: Black
Size: 3xl or 40"-42" with 32" inseam My typical pant size: 38"x32" Having ridden a couple thousand miles in these pants now I feel I can make an adequate review of them. I originally bought these a size larger than my normal pants with the intention of wearing them as over pants during the colder months, but with the Velcro waist adjustment still being able to wear them stand alone during the warmer months. Something I can recommend is to also purchase a slightly larger inseam, because when you double up on pants and sit on your motorcycle the pants will hike up on your legs and if you don't wear tall boots it will create a wind tunnel for air to flow up your pant legs. This isn't a major problem during warmer months because most of us would like to have that air flow, but during the colder times of the year it creates a significant problem. This can be solved by either getting a pair slightly longer or wearing taller boots. There is plenty of space to be worked with in the waist but I think the upper thigh is a bit lacking. I do have larger than average thighs though so take my word as you will. One major spot for improvement is the crotch, there's just not enough length/fabric between the crotch and the waist belt. That causes some minor discomfort while riding because in order for the waist to feel comfortable and not like the pants are falling off I have to constrict my groin region a little. This can get annoying to say the least. That being said, these pants are generally really warm. They cut the wind very well and the ventilation slits you can see in my pictures seem to do little to nothing for airflow. That's probably because they're fairly small and there is no exit path for the air to flow through. I've started having to wear these pants as stand alone pants or with at max a pair of long johns underneath, if I wear anything more my entire lower body is drenched in sweat after wearing them for an extended length of time off the bike (Like getting coffee with friends after a ride). This is all in temps as low as the mid 40s. I will say though that the inner mesh liner is very comfortable and you will not notice the sweat until your stripping them off after your ride. As far as durability goes, I've ridden a couple thousand miles in these by now and they are holding up very well. I typically ride at speeds around 50mph on average and have reached speeds of up to 85mph while wearing these and nothing has torn or ripped off. The Velcro has held tight and non of the zippers have broken yet. I can't speak much for the abrasion resistance of these yet thank God, mostly because I have not gone down while wearing them. They do have some cheaper armor housed within pockets sewn into the inner mesh. The armor feels decent and at the very least works great as knee pads while kneeling down to work on the bike for minor things along the road. The knees pads seem better than the hips pads. Overall I would say that these are great pants for the price point by far and would recommend them to anyone who is riding on a budget that still wants some "motorcycle pants" to wear instead of just jeans. As the title says "Warm, wind resistant, but tight". Noticeable areas of improvement to be had: - More fabric between the crotch and waist. - Better ventilation ports, possibly an exit port as well - Larger upper thigh region ... show more

  • Great quality and good fit
Size: 30W x 30L Color: Black
I am a 5'4, 128 lb woman with a 28" waist, and 29" inseam. These riding pants fit me perfectly around my waist when they are cinched up all the way, which doesn't look weird to do. The legs and butt are not too baggy. The thigh width is adjustable with the straps that are above the knees. The protective inserts for the knees are comfortable. The side inserts hit me below the hip on the sides of my thighs. They are loose, but they're not too loose that it looks like they don't fit me. They are comfortable, warm, have nice pockets, as well as they have good ventilation zippers. They look and feel well made. I can easily get on and off my motorcycle without any interference from the pants and they are comfortable when riding. I bought these after trying several other pairs and styles, and after reading the reviews about their quality and how well they provided protection in a crash. These are truly the best fit I have found for my size, and I highly recommend these pants for riding safety and comfort. ... show more

  • Best bang for your buck!
Size: 34W x 34L Color: Black
These pants have been awesome for me. Riding to work and working in them is a breeze. My only complaint was that I broke the plastic ring on the right side waist adjuster bending down to pick something up without it being cinched tight to my waist line. Otherwise they are comfortable, relatively breathable with the vents open on the hot riding days and are far tougher than jeans in a slide. Armor sits in the right spot for me even buying a slightly larger size so I can layer in the fall. Overall would highly recommend if you're only motorcycle pants are Levi's or wranglers. ... show more
