  • Great Ankle Support and Sharp Blade
Color: White Size: Adult 6
When I started skating, my first pair of ice skates were the Jackson GSU120. They had no ankle support what-so-ever and the leather was too flexible. I just upgraded to the Jackson Mystiques and there is just the perfect amount of padding in these skates, all the way down to the toes. Many people complain that these are "stiff" but you need to break them in before they feel comfortable. Figure skates are supposed to feel a little "stiff" or else you would wobble around in your boot, resulting in a lacking performance. The ankle support / padding is VITAL for landing jumps, and performing intermediate moves. The blade came incredibly sharp and made it easier to glide on the ice as well as keep my balance. I found that performing basic spins and jumps came to me like second nature in these boots. They give me ALL the support I need. If you are a beginner and you're considering purchasing these, they will hold up incredibly. I was also worried that the skates would be too wide because they only came in a "C" (or wide size) but they were actually a little smaller than my old skates. I ordered a size 6 and I am normally a size 7 in shoe. If you're looking for the size that will fit you the best, go one size down from your average shoe size or use the Jackson sizing chart. ... show more

  • Perfect for a beginner with wide feet
Color: White Size: Adult 6.5
I love this pair of skates! It's perfect for a beginner with wide feet like me. The most important thing is DO NOT BUY THE SAME SIZE AS YOUR SHOE SIZE because they'll be too big. If there's a pro shop nearby, go there to measure your feet and try them on. If there's no shop, find the guide to measure your feet online and follow Jackson size chart. (ex. my normal shoe size is 7.5-8 but I wear 6.5 skates.) ... show more

  • Perfect!
I'm a beginner skater coming back after like 10 years after I did some skating as a kid. These are the perfect skates, really. Make sure you take good care of them, because they will see you through some intense training! I'm usually a size 9.5 in regular shoes, but I got 9 here. They feel a bit tight around the ankles at first, but it's because you have to break them in. Believe me, it's better for them to be snug. Just make sure your toes aren't touching the front! ... show more

  • Great skates
Color: White Size: Adult 6.5
I love these skates! The sizing instructions for these skates are exactly correct. The instructions told me to buy a size 6 but I thought it sounded too small so I bought a 6.5. The 6.5 fit with thick socks but I should be wearing thinner socks for indoor figure skating and they are too big without the thick socks. Anyway, these skates are super comfortable and are reasonably priced for figure skates. Make sure you get them sharpened by someone who specializes in figure skates. I had mine sharpened at a hockey shop at first and they were terrible; I couldn't get a good grip on the ice at all. Once I had them sharpened at a place that specializes in figure skates, I could really tell the difference. I'm glad I bought these! ... show more

  • ... perfectly on my feet and skating in them felt amazing. I got one size down from my regular ...
Color: White Size: Adult 6
The skates fit perfectly on my feet and skating in them felt amazing. I got one size down from my regular shoe size and used the Jackson Ultima sizing guide to decide on a large width for my foot. Sometimes the skate may feel weird even if you fit in it and that is because you haven't broken them in yet. Some skaters can take three days to almost two weeks to completely feel comfortable in new skates. You can speed up this process by going to your local skate sharpener to get your skate heat molded. Make sure to sharpen them before skating with them or else you will fall down about a hundred times, (learned about this the hard way with my first skate). It is also essential to wipe down the blade after use as the water can cause rust to form on the metal of the blades if not well kept. Additionally, it is also wise to buy soakers that you can walk around with as any moisture you failed to wipe away will be soaked up in them, (hence the name soakers). Good quality soakers are usually around the ten dollar range and if you want to go the extra mile you can also buy hard skate guards for your skates. Overall the skates are amazing and I would not recommend any different kind of skates for beginners. ... show more

  • These skates were incredibly comfortable from the first time I put them on
Color: White Size: Adult 8.5
These skates were incredibly comfortable from the first time I put them on. They're also true to size. You need to have them sharpened once you receive them, but other than that, everything else is ready to go. They are a good quality skate at a reasonable price. I'm a recreational skater (1-2X week) who is currently taking lessons, and they work well for me. I don't know if they would be great for higher level skaters, but for anyone looking for a comfortable and durable pair of skates, you can't go wrong with these. ... show more

  • Nice ankle support and skate size
Color: White Size: Adult 6.5
I'm not a professional figure skater, I did take lesson when I was younger but have since stopped, however, I still skate recreationally fairly often. Often enough that buying my own pair of skates would be cheaper than renting skates everytime I go to the ice rink. When my old skates broke, I did some research and found these skates. They are really good! The blades (mine at least) didn't come sharpened, but that's an easy fix. The boot itself is stiff, giving a lot of ankle support and it is fairly comfortable. The only thing I was hesitant on was buying skates online. I was confused on the sizing chart, but looking at some of the reviews helped. It really is 1- 1 1/2 size down from your street shoes. For any of you needing help: I wear a size 7 1/2 female shoe and got a size 6 1/2 skate and they fit perfectly ... show more

  • Good skate, poor details
Color: White Size: Womens Size 7.5 / Width: B
I’ve been wearing these pretty regularly (about a couple times a week, sometimes more) since the very end of November and the hooks at the top of the skate are extrememly flimsy. I just snapped one off today while lacing my skate. I should not have those falling off because I keep my skates tightened. Extremely disappointed, especially due to the price. My cheaper skates never did this. ... show more
