Size & fit is everything in figure skates. I’m a casual, just-for-fun skater who did not want to be professionally fitted at the rink & did not want to spend much . If you print out the recommended Riedell fit chart online it works. I am a size 7-7.5 shoe & these skates are a size 7 & they fit perfectly but w a regular sock-no extra room to spare at all for an extra thick warm sock. If you wear wool fluffy socks I would size up a 1/2. I love these skates. Yes they are a bit stiff & unyielding & I thought from the photo they were soft foam but they aren’t, they are regular hard sides. for the price they are Beautiful, they fit perfectly, the blades seem high quality & a very cool color. Love them. So glad I finally got them, so excited, can’t wait to get on the ice! So glad I followed the reviews though because if I had followed the chart I would have ordered a 6 and they definitely would have been too small. I wear a UK 4, EU37, US 6,5 shoe and this 7 is just perfect. Warm inside and feel like they will be comfy. Another review did say bulky and they are a tad but I still think they’re perfect & beautiful. One last thing: I had take another look at them because THE LOOKS OF ADMIRATION that I got from my fellow skaters had me shook, I was so surprised how many compliments I got on them. I thought they were pretty cute, evidently I was wrong - they are show stoppers. Thank you Amazon for my beautiful skates!!! ... show more

I bought these because I have arthritis in one of my feet. Needed something wider. I am an intermediate skater and I was unsure about getting a beginner skate. After the first use I am so happy and would recommend to others.

Initially, I ordered one size smaller than my shoe size based on the down-loadable sizing chart on Riedell's website. The skates were much too small. Returned these for credit and re-ordered a pair two sizes larger than my shoe size, based on my measured foot length to size chart that's on Riedell's Amazon product page for this skate. My wife wanted some skates so she didn't have to keep using the rentals, so I got these for her birthday. She loves them. She says they're comfortable, especially compared to the rentals. She needs a lot of arch support but says that after a little bit, her feet get used to the skates and don't hurt. They hold an edge really well too. ... show more
