The Jackson SoftSkate Series is constructed from synthetic uppers to provide strength, support, and durability. Foam padded lined tongues deliver comfort and support, reinforced eyelets ensure durability. A stylish, maintenance free PVC sole with riveted Mark I blades for added security. Here are a few tips to assist in selecting the correct size: • Take measurements in the socks that will be used while skating. • Stand on a sheet of paper. • Have someone else place a mark at your longest toe and at your heel. The pen should be straight up and down to determine the proper length. • Remove the foot and measure the distance between both marks in inches; repeat with your second foot. • Using the longer measurement of your two feet, select the most appropriate size. Do not select a size that is smaller than the length of your longest foot. Please Note: • Determining skate size by comparing to street shoe sizing is difficult as both are sized for different movements; skates are sized to glide with little foot movement while shoes are sized to allow for more flex when walking. • Skates generally have a snug fit to ensure the foot does not move; this type of fit may not suit everyone. Sizing is provided as a guideline only and should not replace proper fitting completed by an authorized Jackson Ultima Retailer.

First off, skates in general seem to run large yet narrow. I wear a 9.5 shoe, regular width. (In shoes that don't have half-sizes, I wear a 10.) With skates, I have what are considered to be wide feet. (This is a common shoe-to-skate conversion: having normal-width shoes but needing wide-width skates.) At any rate, I just want to help people with sizing. I ordered these skates in a 9, and they fit perfectly with a nice pair of cushy, thick socks. I knew, based on my experience with skates, that the 10s would be too big. The 9s are great. I hope this is helpful info! I love these skates! They came sharpened in a way that is great for my somewhat-beginner skating. They're pretty with the purple, and I love the silver detailing. They feel good on my feet and have more support than I thought a beginner skate would have (albeit, I am a beginning skater). The only flaw is that the upper sides (where the metal lace-holders are) are bent out too wide. This is readily fixed by tightening your laces extra tight. I'm not sure if the flimsy white/purple laces that came with these skates would be up to it, but I use my own laces anyway. If you get thick hockey laces like I use, they help keep your skates tightened. (I don't know of any skate on the market that comes with substantial laces, so I'm hesitant to remove a star for it.) For these skates, I'd recommend using 108" hockey laces, which come in many pretty colors. ... show more

We ordered the pink skates as shown and received the purple interior. Unfortunately, we were desperate for proper size skates, so my daughter decided to use the purple. The size was correct. They are excellent quality skates. If we had received the pink interior, I would have given FULL stars! Something to be aware of-My daughter wears a size 11/12 but in this skate we had to go up to a 1(due to the comfort padding) but given how pleased she if to wear them and how much more comfortably she skates-I have Zero issues with this. (Personal note- a serious let down for me as a birthday gift for her when she was excited about the pink ones.) ... show more

i’m not kidding when i say my feet were so warm! not sweating but i was able to feel my toes for the whole 3 hours of outdoor skating i did! the ankle support is really good too but me personally, i like my skates lose. i think they are totally worth the price and the skates just look too quality on the ice! super comfortable for long skating ... show more

I did a bunch of research and basically took a chance on these skates. So glad I did!! #1 recommendation was having the right fit (not too snug, but not too big: Goldilocks Fit-Needs to be just right). I measured my foot and ordered a size 8 based on the sizing chart. Fit was perfect. #2 recommendation was to have some type of padding within the ankle of the skate. I'm so grateful that I listened to this. These skates fit this requirement perfect!! Very comfy, no scraping on my ankles!! I'm 41 and I haven't skated in over five years. I skated once or twice if at all for the previous 12 years. I wanted to teach my daughter how to skate which led to this purchase. First time on the ice with her is something I will never forget!!! I will skating more frequently now!!! ... show more
