My daughter's skating coach recommended these skates because of my daughter's wide feet. Most skates at her level only fit up to a C width and the GAM skates offer a C-D width, which are slightly wider than the skates in the other Jackson and Rydell lines of entry level figure skates.     • Excellent skates for beginner figure skating
I am very pleased with these ice skates, my 4 year old has been skating with them about four times a week for the last 5 months and they have been great. She takes private lessons, group lessons, is on a synchronized team and they’re really holding up nicely. She wears a size 9 in normal shoes but I ordered an 11 so she’s would have space to grow and they fit well with a thick sock. Way better than using rental skates! Really made all the difference getting her her own. The blades came unsharpened which cost us $10 to get sharpened, we just had them redone since they were just starting to get dull (again after 4x a week for 5 months) and that was only $5 the second sharpening. ... show more

    • Great shoes for my 4 year old!
This shoe fits very well for my 4 yr old and she loves it. It’s sturdy and comfy too. Very pleased with this purchase. Blades were ready to use and dint need sharpening. Premium quality product. Only thing I’d suggest to change is the laces and that’d get 5 stars

Awesome beginner skates. I’m a 22 year old woman, advanced rollerskater who is getting into ice skating. I normally wear an 8.5 street shoe and these skates fit pretty good. There is definitely a break in period as they are very stiff, I worse thick socks the first couple of times wearing them. I don’t know how they will hold up yet since I just got them but they seem great to me and great price ... show more

My daughter sneaker size is 10,i ordered size 11. She has to wiggle to get feet in. It fits but not much room for growth. The skates appear made in excellent material. I like it very much. The shoe lace is also of high quality. I look at the blades and from my limited knowledge about sharpening, i decide to skip sharpening. My daughter skates well in these skates. So, yeah. My daughter is a figure skater and most shops that sell figure skates in the area have closed. She needs "real" figure skates, not the recreational low quality skates you can buy at Dick's or a sporting goods store. We were nervous about ordering skates online, but these skates were of the quality we expected. They are a little stiff and need to be worn in a bit more than previous brands we have purchased.
