I'm sharing because I find detailed reviews extremely helpful if they contain details beyond "I love this." I hope this is helpful to someone else shopping. _ I'm 5'7", weigh 150 lbs (sometimes 158 lbs.). My shape is hourglass, meaning I have hips (40") and a smaller waist (33") I am over 50, so I have done some shopping in my life. My US size is 10-12 at Macy's and 12 at Target. _I like clothes that do not bind, loose fit, but do not look like I am wearing an old canvas bag. _I like good fabric, and I am a longtime sewer, so craftsmanship of clothes is important to me. I look at the construction of a garment. So, these pants: _Linen fabric is quality and a mid-weight, no shine and has a great but subtle linen texture - the fabric is soft to the skin and does not scratch or itch. Good for three seasons in the north of the USA. The drape is excellent right out of the bag without ironing or putting them in the dryer for a touch-up. The elastic at the waist is about 1-1/4 inch wide and not stiff - the elastic waist could easily accommodate a waist 8 inches bigger than mine or more - it depends on the fit you like - I actually might make the elastic a little tighter, an easy 10 minute fix if you sew or know someone who does sew. The pants have two good sized pockets. The construction is excellent. The fabric is cut correctly so it drapes correctly. _Depending on your lifestyle and personal style these pants can be worn almost anywhere besides a formal event. How you style with a top, shoes and accessories is the key. Definitely outside pants, not sleeping pants. _When shopping online make sure you get a tape measure and know your measurements. I ordered US L and the fit was as expected for me - I could have sized down one size to a US Medium, but I like a loose fit. Also, make sure you look at the manufacturer's size chart, not the generic Amazon size chart to make your size selection. _My photos are of the pants right out of the bag, and in front of a dusty (sorry) mirror, but hopefully they are helpful to you. _I have been wearing them for a few hours now and these pants are so comfortable, so cute. I thoroughly enjoy these pants. I bought three pairs. Someone left a review saying how ugly they are and how you'll look an inmate - you could also look like you're in an ashram! These pants are linen and cotton which aren't easy to find. I find they are versatile and you can wear with pretty much anything. -As seen in the image, you could go for ultra conservative -OR you could wear with a smaller tank top, which I've also done. They're not "high waisted". I wear a medium and they sit on my hips. However, I have a small pair that is sits at my waist line, where I could wear more like a bralette. - You can wear these OVER tights or yoga shorts if you're wanting coverage until you're to a class - You can even wear over a bathing suit or something like that - Lounge wear! - Could dress up with a nicer top depending on personal style I am 5'8" and around 145-150 pounds. I am heavier on the bottom with a smaller top - so these pants feel flattering and give my legs and hips a lot of space. They are not excessively tight in the hips. I do not find them uncomfortable in any way - they're frankly some of my favorite pants. I do find them a little heavy. They're made really well, so they're not going to fall apart on you HOWEVER, it's not like they're super easy breezy. I'd say they're breathable but it's not light, delicate fabric. I wore them in very humid places as well as cooler places. I couldn't recommend enough. I did not find they shrank but I also wash everything on delicate and let my cotton air dry. So I can't speak to shrinkage if you dry them with everything else. I also washed alone the first time in case they bled in the wash. So can't speak to that either. I have black, blue, and beige - none are see through. I can't speak for the white color.

EDIT! (READ BELOW TO SEE HOW MUCH I LOVE THESE!) I purchased my first pair of dark Gray XL in August 2021. I wash them in hot water and a hot dryer and they never shrank. I live in them. I just purchased my second pair of Gray XL (March 2023). They fit exactly like the first pair out of the package. After washing and drying them together with the first pair (hot water/hot dryer) they SHRUNK TWO SIZES!! Beware. I would hate to treat these carefully like cold wash and line dry, it defeats the purpose for me of having cozy pants I can live in that look stylish. I'm not giving up on them. But I'm going to exchange the shrunken ones for a pair of 2XL and keep my fingers crossed they are still wearable after the shrinkage. It's a shame this listing covers multiple styles... this review is for the style that appears in the first 8 photos. (The ones without a drawstring, without pleats in the front, and with a seam that continues from the waistband straight down the front to the cuff.) I LOVE THEM. I have 5 pairs of this style in Gray, Navy Blue, Black and Beige. I bought my first pair in August 2021. I don't know what the recommended laundry instructions are... I wash mine in hot water and dry them on a hot setting in the dryer. I have not noticed any shrinking or color fading. The fabric is heavy and opaque with a nice drape. Wrinkles do not hold, they seem to fall out as you wear them. The pockets are deep enough for hands and a phone. The elastic waistband does not twist. The stitching is holding really well. They're a high quality and I highly recommend them. They're more comfortable than sweats pants, are slightly more flattering, and I can dash out the door for a last minute trip to the grocery store feeling like I'm in my PJs but not looking like it. I wear them all year round. They're very comfortable in Seattle's mild summers. But I live in them in the winter too when I'm hanging out in the house. My only complaint is that sizing varies by color. I am 5'10" and currently wear size 12-14. They fall above the ankle which is the length I like to wear with sandals and chelsea boots. My first pair was Gray in XL. They're roomy but comfy and not falling off. I was so worried that these will no longer be available that I bought second Gray pair 2 weeks ago. The XL fits the same and the fabric is identical. About 8 months ago I bought Navy Blue but I needed L because the XL was too big. Last week I bought Black and Beige in XL. Out of the package... the Black XL fit perfectly like the Gray XL. But the Beige XL was too tight and a tad shorter, so I'm exchanging it for XXL. So... I'd say the Gray and Black fit as expected; go up one size in the Beige; go down one size in the Navy Blue. I cannot comment on the other colors. Or the other styles. Again, the good news is that I have not noticed any shrinkage after washing in hot water and drying completely in a hot dryer so you can trust the fit will hold after you wash & dry.

I started with one pair, now I have four, and I can't get enough! These pants are fantastic! Every time I but a pair of linen pants (which these are not) I am so disappointed. They're always super thin and the wrinkles are out of control. Though these aren't linen, they have that look to them, which is great, and was exactly what I was looking for. The shape of these pants are awesome, with a nice taper at the ankles which prevents them from looking too boxy and slouchy. The baggy tapered look is super flattering and can be worn with just about any type of top. The length is perfect - they fall right below the ankle, making them easy to wear with any size heel. I wear them with slides just to run errands in, or dress them up with 5" wedges and wear them to work. The material has a natural wrinkly look, but you can steam/iron them if you want less of that. I find that wrinkles generally tend to just fall right out, so I don't bother with steaming them unless they're super wrinkly from the wash. The elastic waistband is a dream. It makes it super easy to position the pants wherever you like to wear them on your waist/hip. It's also great at preventing muffin top! I like to wear them with a fitted white tee, which can exacerbate a muffin top if you're lucky enough to have one, like me. Totally not a problem with these pants. They're perfect pants for everything from cool spring and fall days to super-hot summer. Because they're so baggy they don't overheat at all. But the material is a really nice weight, that works in all weather. Plus, they're heavy enough that you don't get VPL - which is a problem with thinner material. I have them in khaki, grey, navy, and black and love all of them, but khaki is my favorite. I have animals and the black does tend to hold onto their fur, but it's nothing a lint roller won't take care of. I'm trying to decide if I should get the white pair, next. The other great thing about these pants is how easily they wash. I line dry mine, but they'd probably be ok on the cool dry cycle. Oh, and the pockets are fantastic!! All in all, I couldn't be more excited about these pants. I get tons of compliments on them everywhere I go and they are incredibly versatile. I'm 5'6" and 140lbs and the Medium is a perfect fit.

I bought my first pair in gray in 2021 in the largest available size (XXL) and loved 'em. Lovely medium-weight material, solid construction, great pockets, just the right amount of looseness in the legs, and long enough to wear with flats, though a bit tight around the waist (I'm 5'8" and 175 lbs, 36" waist, and over 65). I'm not a huge fan of elastic waistbands but since I loved the baggy tulip/lantern look so much and they didn't come any bigger, I decided I'd just have to lose some weight! Well, I've worn those pants everywhere and they've stood the test of time brilliantly - still look as good as new with no special care. So, when I retired some khakis earlier this summer and needed more comfy pants, I ordered another pair, this time in green, again in XXL. Such a lovely soft cool mint green color that gets lots of compliments, especially with a white summery boho top. But this pair is much bigger - still love 'em but so loose that I have to be careful how much I put in the pockets! Then a couple of weeks later I saw them on sale so decided to try a third pair (beige) but in XL. Tada!! Perfect fit at the waistband, not too short, and still plenty of "room" in the legs for that nice flowing, casual look. So who knows what's the deal with sizing but if you're willing to work through finding what fits you best, these are quality pants that are well worth the price. Highly recommended.

I've now purchased 5 pairs of these over about 3 yrs, some with different colors or sizes. I previously gave 4 stars, but have just docked a star (from 4 to 3) due to the 2 pair I recently purchased. Pros (general): If you prefer baggy clothes, these are quite comfortable. They are nice for telecommuting, fairly easy care, and if you are shorter like me, they can be cut-off at the bottom of the pant legs, like jeans, to shorten and reduce the taper (after cutting off they seem to stop shedding new strings after 2-3 washes)..... However, there are some cons, which were not initially apparent with my first 2-3 pair (all black or gray, size M), but seem to be consistent flaws with the others (all other colors, size M or L). Cons: The crotch seems to have a design flaw and either needs an added panel, or better reinforcement at the seam with a larger fabric margin. Despite being wonderfully baggy everywhere else, there is consistently very little fabric in the seam margin, and since there is no give in the fabric, it doesn't take much pulling or stretching to cause fraying or a hole at the crotch. The first 3 pairs all eventually developed holes along the seam here, but after many wears and washings, and in 2 cases these were more-or-less repairable. With my 2 recent purchases, however, one pair showed some slight fraying at the crotch seam on arrival, before ever being worn, and the other is showing signs of the crotch seam starting to separate after just being worn a handful of times. Ironically, the one that arrived with slight fraying in the crotch was one I had ordered up a size on, in hopes that this would reduce any stress on that seam when bending/squatting etc. Given my other 2 cons (below), I suspect this is related to some sort of fabric 'conservation' effort on the part of the company or site where these pairs were made. My first 3 pairs, size M in black and one in gray, that were all cut a bit more generously than the two recent pairs in blue and green, even though one of the recent pairs is supposedly a size L and the previous ones were size M. And lastly, in both of these 2 recent pair, the waistband channels are too narrow for the elastic bands inside, in some places, such that the elastic band in both pairs folds over in places and will not lie completely flat. In one of the pairs the elastic actually seems to be twisted all the way around inside, but can't be untwisted due to being sewn in place. In both cases, these pants can still be worn, I just need to reinforce the crotch seams. I will live with the elastic band issue, but I consider it an annoyance and if I purchase any more, I will not order any color other than black in the future (and if the problem happens again I will return it and no longer purchase). It's disappointing, because I really loved my first 3 pair.

I love these pants!!!! They are well made and the linen is not too thin or too thick. It seems perfect for summer and fall. The style is unique, having a lantern shape, that can be paired with tops for a casual chic look. I loved the first one I bought so I bought two more and they will be my everyday pants this summer and fall. They run large. I wear size 12 pants and initially ordered XL thinking that Asian made clothing runs smaller, but these don’t. I had to roll down the top band since it felt too long and roomy. I still loved them so I did not return them. I then bought large for the next two pairs and they seemed very close to the first one I bought. They are roomy too! They wash well and I have worn them straight out of the dryer. You can iron or steam them for a more polished look, but it is not necessary. I tried making linen pants a few times and it costs a lot more to buy the material and make them. This price is unbeatable and, I must admit, they are way nicer than the ones my sewing skills were able to achieve. I highly recommend these to other ladies who love roomy and comfortable cloths with a bit of style.

I am 5'7, 120 lbs. I purchased Medium. I really like these pants. The design is very nice and quality of the fabric is great, much thicker than other linen pants that I have, yet they are still flowy. . My only concern is that they are a little short. I want them to break at the top of my foot at my shoe, like in their pictures. They don't. I wear them so that they sit at my natural waist, not pulled down toward my hips. One pair (grey) I purchased falls to the bottom of my ankle. But this yellow pair is shorter. I had to return them. They are 80 percent linen and 20 percent cotton, they will shrink. Maybe if their washed in delicate cycle, cold water and hung to dry they won't shrink as much, but I doubt it given the nature of the fabric. Too bad, I really like them, I just wish they were a little longer.
