  • Fantastic coverage brush for the price
I got this as a second brush for laying down primer and base coats because my detail brush takes forever on larger projects. I love it. Very comfortable to hold even with my somewhat large hands (I put my index finger over the top and wrap three fingers around and work the trigger with my middle finger). It provides a VERY clean spray that results in a very even coat with minimal effort. Do read the directions! This brush is designed to be used at 13 PSI. If you try to use it at 20 like a typical detail brush, you will be somewhat disappointed. It still performs reasonably well, but has a bit of overspray and a less even coat results. This is an unusual dual action design. It is a single trigger pull. The first 1/4 inch or so of trigger travel only activates the air. Then you feel a slight resistance and if you continue to pull the trigger, the needle will begin to retract for paint spray. I don't think I'd like this design for detail work, but for coverage, it's great. No fatigue trying to keep an awkward top trigger evenly pressed for longer periods. Disassembly is reasonable, and cleaning is no more complicated than a typical top feed brush. It comes with a small and large paint cup (1 and 2 oz respectively, I think...) and a siphon jar for the really big projects. I haven't used the siphon jar yet, but the paint cups work well, seal fully, and clean easily. Iwata is always good, but often to get great you have to shell out big money. This is an exception, IMO. It performs as well (for coverage at least) as brushes 2-3 times as expensive. ... show more

  • superb airbrush
Wow... the Iwata quality really shows through on this airbrush. This may be a lower end model, but don’t let that fool you. Lower end Iwata beats the best of most other brands. It is solid and the ergonomics are great. This is my first trigger model and I’m pretty hooked. With the 0.5mm tip, this is my new favorite for larger areas and primers. Easy to clean and the larger tip lets me use far less thinner. ... show more

  • Great performance - real quality
My wife makes soap and bath bombs and she reports that it’s amazing! Doesn’t clog with mica when spraying bath bombs, very precise and well worth the investment. If you are starting out just buy this one and save yourself the aggravation of cheaper ones that clog, and do not feel as precise. You can feel the quality in this product. ... show more

  • the IWATA NEO-TRN 2 is fantastic to use
I have some nagging arthritis issues in my hand and a conventional airbrush is dificult to use for extended periods, the IWATA NEO-TRN 2 is fantastic to use!!! Pulling in on a trigger is SO much easier to do than pushing down on a button with my fingers!!! Much better control too!! Highly recommend!!! ... show more

  • Wonderful airbrush
Wonderful airbrush. Easy control with the trigger. I used an air valve on the hose so I can manipulate the flow easily and with the set knob on the handle to adjust the paint flow, it is a dream to use. Just pull trigger a ways to get air and pull further to release paint. Simple. Quality is Iwata. Two cup sizes for a gravity feed and and siphon bottle capable if that is your preference. Open line of sight with a side feed design. Great value. ... show more

  • Great sprayer!
I really like this airbrush. It puts down a smooth, wide spray pattern with great coverage. I especially like the trigger assembly. Pull the trigger back half way until you feel some resistance. This is for air only. Then pull back more to start the flow of paint. Handle/trigger configuration feels comfortable in the hand and has a more natural feel than my dual action Iwata HP-CH Hi-Line. I'm primarily a model builder and this is my new "workhorse" sprayer. ... show more

This thing changed my life. I had been making do with the $20 cheapos from harbor freight, but had to keep throwing them out when the packing was destroyed by the nasty sovlents I'm using. This seems to be holding up. Beautiful control. I like the various sized bottles for various sized jobs, which this gun can handle. Quite thin lines to around 1" spray pattern. I like the trigger for larger spraying. I can hold it like a pencil and operate the trigger with my middle finger if I want more detail control. And it won't break the bank. ... show more
