From reading some of the reviews I figured this item was middle of the road and now having put it together I'd say it's that or less. First off, the piping which is a metal but is cheaply painted with plenty of spots where the paint is flaking off, straight out of the box. The wood is indeed real wood but unfortunately once together it's not sturdy. (There was one blemish/scratch on the wood) I think the problem might be in the machining/threading of the metal where some joints will not tighten properly thus needing more threading or more accurate, tighter threading so when put together it would stand sturdy. (I might add assembly was fairly easy) I have put it together and I have stereo components on it but if I had children around I would not feel safe because of the integrity or lack thereof of the unit. In all I think it's overpriced for the efficiency, not so much the materials and in all, overpriced because of craftsmanship. The look is nice and concept cool but it falls short. Pictures attached of flaking pipping straight out of box, wood scratch and flaking paint on table where I laid pieces for assembly and, assembled.

Absolutely love this shelf! It arrived earlier than expected and was easy to assemble. The wood is beautiful and the metal is heavy! Would give it 5 stars but the only issues was one of the wall anchor holes was not threaded properly to attach the wall mount. So it can only be anchored on one side.

The first one i received was missing a lot of the pipe connectors so I could not assemble it. Great customer service from the seller - i sent them pictures and they decided to send me another one. The second one was complete and I was able to put it together. Setup was easy but the end results was a unsteady and had a backward lean. Seems like it’s going to tip over easily. I will keep but I think the design could be improved

These shelves are flimsy. Not sturdy at all. Poor quality. We bought two of these. On one shelf, we couldn’t even get the last leg screwed on. Something was stripped. Talk about a waste of time. Can’t believe I have to disassemble these just to send them back. I can’t even begin to express how disappointed I am that I bought these shelves.

Product was difficult to assemble. Holes are not lined up correctly, making the vertical bars skewed. Finish of metal comes off easily during assembly so we will have to touch up with black paint. Update: Seller contacted me about my review, offered to replace item which we declined because we didn’t want to go through the assembly again! So they refunded us $15 for our “troubles” ...used it to buy paint to touch up
