This is my first time ever purchasing a comforter online and I was very nervous to buy it. However, when I tell you I loveee love love my comforter set I love it! I do want to say the reviews don’t do any justice when you have an in person it is more vivid than what it looks like on a camera so if you’re worried about it, not being colorful enough, it is vivid. Also the quality it’s really good texture is soft on my skin I haven’t had any issues so far. I will say I have a queen size bed I wanted the king size comforter set so that the comforter would look full on my bed. And also, it is a little weighted, which is perfect with me. If you were wondering the comforter is not flat unless you don’t get it in insert and make sure you get a good insert. I got my insert from Amazon as well.

When the package arrived, it was shrink wrapped, and so of course, when I unwrapped it and put it on my comforter, it was massively wrinkly, and it didn’t look that great. Those wrinkles are never going to come out unless you do something. So, I took out my steamer and steamed all the wrinkles out. Now I think this comforter cover looks absolutely gorgeous. It’s a rich peacock color; the velvet looks really classy. For the winter time, it is nice and soft and fuzzy. I think overall this was a great choice. The stitching seems strong & the zipper seems like a good quality zipper. There are ties inside the duvet cover that you can fasten into your comforter to keep it from slipping out of the shape. I’ve had this for about three months now . Very pleased with my purchase.

It is thinner than I expected, but I like that because it won't get too hot. The color is bluer than advertised, it's a teal blue, which is exactly what I was hoping for. The color looks very different in my photos from night to day, my catisin the day picture. It is velvet made of microfiber, the definition of velvet is basically a short pile on one side and smooth on the other, but the pile is shorter than real silk, cotton, or nylon velvet. It's not as luxurious looking as real velvet or even velour. It washes well in a regular bedding cycle for the washer and dryer. The king size comforter fits perfectly, but the middle ties don't hold very well, you might need to get duvet clips to keep it in place.

EDITED - took off stars. We ordered a second one in a different color, like a rust color. It came wadded up in a plastic bag so I already knew it had been returned by someone else. Upon opening it up, we noticed a tear near the zipper, which I’m assuming is why it was returned. I think it’s pretty poor quality control on the seller’s part to re-sell a damaged product, but I digress. My partner liked the first green one we bought so much and this rust color he didn’t want me to go through the hassle of returning it but I would have if I had my way lol. Initial review for 1st duvet: LOVE this. We’ve had it about 2 weeks and I just washed it for the first time before leaving a review - I thought it might lose some of its texture after washing but it’s still amazingly soft! I’m also a hot sleeper and was worried it would burn me up but it’s surprisingly lightweight. Only had a few weeks but it kept its quality after the first wash. Fits a king size duvet as described. Does not slide around. We’ve already ordered a second to alternate them out. Green matches the photos.

This makes me so glad the zipper broke on my old duvet cover lol! I decided to get something fancy when I found this gold velvet one. I chose gold for something totally different to what I'd usually choose. I LOVE it! Keep in mind if you also choose gold: I DO feel like the photos are accurate, however lighting plays a big part in what the color looks like. It's prettier in the daylight than at night under a regular lightbulb. And the room's decor makes a big difference in how you perceive the color. As an artist, I understand this. I have no decor direction in my bedroom, but I still wanted this color. If I were to paint the walls and decorate with a color plan, it would look totally fabulous. The only negatives I can drum up are that it might not be as warm as it looks. It seems to be breezier than my old cotton duvet cover—but that's at my feet where the fan is pointed, and breeziness might be a positive to some people. And I wish I had originally bought a king size duvet and cover, because I find myself wanting more of this color and texture draping down my queen bed (which was a choice I should've made long ago) (keep in mind that I have one of those extra tall memory foam mattresses). To summarize my review: the "gold" color is accurate in my opinion, it's super soft, the velvet shines in whatever lighting, you might consider a duvet larger than your bed, and I am happy with my purchase.

The color is beautiful and the fabric is very soft. The material itself is thin and the zipper is plastic and seems like it won’t hold up long. The strings on the inside of the duvet are very small and made with cheap material. Overall it’s nice looking but probably won’t last long term.
