Controlling this unit using an app on my phone is an excellent option - I can start the A/C on my way home from work, adjusting temp, fan speed, mode, etc. Installation was easy, except for cryptic instructions on how to hook up to WiFi. (Hint: holding the FAN button for 3 seconds is the "Reset button"). Using this to cool about 250 sq ft bedroom / sitting room. Certainly has enough cooling power for my needs. Now I can turn down (or even turn off) the house's air conditioner which used to run day and night without cooling the upstairs very well. The noise level is as expected, but certainly is not too loud. Shipping took 3 more days than the 20 days originally estimated for free UPS Ground service. Wait time was excessive and they would receive 2 stars (if this category existed) because of the delays and since the packaging was very banged up when we received it. I needed to cool my garage since I use a portion of it for an office when working remote. Kept the garage comfortable for work even though it is sized for a smaller area. If I made my office space smaller it would work even better. The issue with these is you need to be near a window to run the exhaust air out. The exhaust tube gets hot which works against keeping the room cool. I picked up an insulated tube but I have not installed it hoping it would contain the heat better. ... show more

We purchased this unit before it got warm, knowing we would need one for our son’s room. The first one we purchased for our room worked great so we figured we would stick with this brand. We set it up on a hot day a few months after purchasing it and the compressor wouldn’t kick on. The unit Started blowing hot air and began smoking so bad we had to take it outside. Please don’t bother buying this. Just go to home depo or Lowe’s and get a name brand one. The seller will not accept a return. I understand it’s a few months later but it was never even used. I use this in a large open upstairs area as needed. It cools the area down quickly and so far has worked without any issues. None of these AC units are quiet. They put out a decent amount of sound ao if you are a light sleeper, you will want to weigh the pros and cons of having it in your bedroom. The unit looks great and arrived on time and while the box was a little dinged up, the unit was not damaged. This unit has saved me from burning up over the past few months. I'm really happy with this purchase. We use it to suppliment a large room with a high selling. I'd estimate it to be about 500 sq. ft. It is a little loud, but I can't imagine having this output with less noise. Also, I just realized the app doesn't allow to set the temperature you'd like it to be when it comes on - It's more just on or off at any given time of day, which I guess is workable, but not perfect. I bought this portable AC in 2022. It worked fine for the first summer, but by the next year it completely stopped cooling. I called product support and, to their credit, they were great — they told me to keep the old unit and sent me a replacement. The first unit was useless (just left me to throw it away), but at least the replacement worked. That second unit lasted through the end of summer 2024 and most of 2025, and now here I am again — same exact problem. It only blows warm air around, no cooling at all. What are the odds of two units failing the same way in just a couple of years? I’ll call support again, but I’m not optimistic. Bottom line: you’re lucky if you get two summers out of this.
